Course Goals
To show how a close reading helps us discern how individual passages in the Torah have meaning within the book as a whole
To show how a close reading of the Torah helps us make sense of the New Testament’s interpretation of the Torah, and more specifically, those passages in the New Testament that specifically address the believer’s relationship to the commandments of the Sinai Covenant
To show how a close reading of the Torah helps us discover the Messianism of the Torah, and how its Messianism serves as the foundation for the eschatology of the Prophets, the Writings, and the New Testament

Christianity is 100% idol worship by the laws of the holy Torah . 100% without any exception ! The Torah specifically forbade ascribing partners to share HaShem singular sovereignty, as HaShem is the absolute one without a Son, or second, there is no comparable being, HaShem/God is similar to nothing and nothing is comparable to HaShem/God.

@@mikeyboy8177 Genesis 48: And he (Israel) blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, the *Angel* which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. Did Jacob equate an Angel that appeared to him with God? Was Jacob guilty of idolatry? Daniel 7: I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Was God guilty of idolatry here for exalting the Son of Man? Psalm 110: The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Was David guilty of idolatry for calling him Lord? Glorifying the Son of God is glorifying the Father. God is not sharing His glory with another, because God's Son is one with Him, in the same way as His Spirit is one with Him.

YES ! YES! YES! And so important also to see that Yah "CAUSES" us to return unto Him with all our circumcised heart which He has given us thru Yeshua and the Ruach ha Kodesh. Thruout His Kadosh Word He shows us, so that we have no ability to "boast", that HE does it all for us; just as He as the theophany walked thru the pieces of the animals as a flaming torch and smoking firepan to guarantee our side of the Covenant He gave unto Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya'acov. He knew and was telling us we NEED HIM TO have eternal Life with and thru Him by His only begotten Son. Therefore, our circumcised heart desires to lovingly obey His commandments as His Bride loving her Spouse Who has given ALL for us, our blessings from the Author and Finisher of our faith. Abba YHVH ! Baruch ata YHVH Eloheinu Melech ha Olam ! As we are in the last days and we are seeing the beginning of the return, I weep tears of joy waiting to be wiped away in the new heavens and new earth with and by Him the Eternal Echad. HalleluYah ! Thank you brother Seth ! Ruth and I have been waiting for someone to explain what we have seen and trying to explain for so long. Hugs

As the great theologian Augustine once said about Holy Scripture: “In the Old Testament the New is concealed, in the New the Old is revealed.” And as Jesus Himself said to the Rabbinic order in John 5:39-40, "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."

As I know the Lord Jesus through the NT, I always enjoy reading the Torah because I can see the heart of the Father in it. I love reading Leviticus and Deuteronomy. They surely function way beyond being lists of do's and don'ts - i.e. revealing God!!
@nancylim8372
@nancylim8372 Жыл бұрын
I struggle with Leviticus somewhat but Deuteronomy blesses me tremendously! Though when I read of God's curse on those who reject Him in chap. 28, I cry. It is so terrible, awful to be against God. When some of my friends say they think God is so angry in the Old Testament and they don't read much of it, it is such a shame. God is forever showing His love but yes, as a father loves his children, there are times when they need to be corrected and punished only to find the Father waiting on the other side with arms wide open! God is love!

Great teaching. I didn't know the Hebrew said in the last days. Also I recently learned how Jesus walks the steps of Moses. Showing He is the Messiah Moses spoke of: Jesus fasted 40 days like Moses on Mt Sinai. Jesus walked on water and Moses parted Jesus breaks bread and feed thousands like mana from heaven Jesus is the living water from the rock Jesus takes two disciples on Mt Hermon Jesus sends 70 disciples, Moses had 70 elders On the mountain Jesus was radiant like when Moses came off the mountain Jesus taught from the mount while Moses brought the commandments Etc.

There's also another one: Jesus turning water into wine parallels with Moses turning the Nile waters into red blood. For Jesus it was the starting sign / miracle of his ministry. For Moses, it was the beginning sign of God demonstrating his power to the Egyptians.

Thanks to you I realised Abel was named vanity, because Adam and Eve were suffering so much from their fall, but God made Him the first pleasing servant right after the fall to give hope to those who wanted to draw near Him again, the contrary happened to Cain who was rebel and lawless after the fall, he didn't seek to purposefully seek God with his offering and sin was already "at the gate to devour him" means he lacked love for righteousness and was sinfull, Abel was on the other hand hopefull, loving genuinely caring for God and godliness. It's realy serious matter to direct ourselves toward God in every situation and obeying Him to remain in Him.

Genesis 49:10 "The ruling shall not be final in Judah, it is not the decree from the bruised foot (the one who defeats Satan from the Garden of Eden while Yahweh is saying "the seed of woman will bruise the serpent and Yahweh is slaying an animal and shedding blood), not until Shiloh (death) come for then unto Him shall be a gathering of the people." Abraham leaves a pagan faith for blood sacrifice for sin and is not afraid to add a son to the altar. That Isaac is the only human aside from Enoch who is only mentioned in a good light (no sin of his is mentioned) and Judah who receives the greatest prophecy redeems his brother Benjamin. Meanwhile, Joseph redeems all of Egypt and his family and mentions how it is God who does all things for good even when others intend evil. Leviticus is mentioning how the blood sacrifice to enter the Holy of Holies must be from absolutely pure animals and again that was known to be a seed of woman that would one day put down all sin as Abraham added a son to the alter and Yahweh had said in the Garden of Eden the seed of woman will bruise the serpent while Yahweh was shedding blood (classical conditioning of blood shed and that a man would one day put down sin somehow related to this picture of blood shed. Eve states "I have gotten a man from the Lord" and then upon Abel somehow the world knows the blood shed was the correct sacrifice and not the produce from the field. Noah, Job, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, etc. all know to do blood shed for sin. The whole Jewish temple is surrounded by blood shed for sin.

I hesitate sometimes of your interpretation on Holy Scripture, but sounds correct. I hope you may consult the Roman Catholic bishops, because they have the full authority to interpret the Holy Scriptures. we know that St. Jerome was the secretary of Pope Damasus and was being sent to gathere all the Scriptures and made them into one book which is the Holy Bible and translated them into latin bulgate... the real jewish messiah is the Catholic jewish since Christ was a Catholic Jewish because he founded the Catholic ⛪ Church, and the first Pope was St. Peter, who was also a jew, whom Jesus Christ gave him a key, Matthew 16:19.

Thank you! I've read Deut many times and even pondered when Moses said that one day God would circumcise their hearts. However, it never clicked that Moses was the first to preach the the new covenant. I cannot wait to share that the law teaches circumcision of the heart. This is so beautiful!

Reading the whole Bible as one large arc with different stages of moral development the same way we break up moral/psycho/social development across the human lifespan. Not that we failed so God had to keep rewriting the covenant over and over again, each time completely annoyed and surprised that yet again we’d mucked up the last version… but like a parent and child have completely different stages of dependency, trust, obedience, cohesion, social competition, rejection/acceptance as the child grows into the adult. Parents still feel pain, and anger, and sadness, as their kids go from being cute babies, to obstinaste toddlers, to charming children, to headstrong teenagers, to leaving the nest, and to becoming adult children who are also our friends. Just like a parent gives us different amounts of rules and different types of rules, and even contradictory rules (ie, when you’re young it’s don’t touch the over, when you’re old enough it’s time for cooking lessons and of course you have to touch the oven but let’s learn how to safely do it) as we grow up. God knew what the long term picture needed to be, what the stages would look like, from the start… it was us who were clueless as a species, then as a group, and now individually in each of our own mortal lifespans. It is through this process of development that we can begin to understand and agree to live as part of God’s eternal community.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) Watch the KZbin videos “The New Covenant” by David Wilkerson, or Bob George, and David H.J. Gay.

"Don't exaggerate" you said to me, "the Introduction has 79 pages, not 80!" Dear Seth, I still laugh when I remember our conversation. And how many people were saved in an ark? lol. I have just finished the Intro for the second time. I read it carefully and thoroughly and often felt that it was above my pay-grade as I struggled to understand what I was reading. I have to say, I don't agree with all of Sailhamer's conclusions. But hey, I was wrong about the ark too, lol. This podcast is such a blessing and I will circulate it to the goyishe believers around me (like me) that need to hear it and have their eyes opened to seeing the Torah in 3-D. It was great meeting you Seth and I am enjoying reading "The Pentateuch ..." enormously.

Thank you so much for this confirmation which I discovered 30 years ago. This is why I have a problem with the Torah/HafTorah being called "The 'Old' Testament". I, as a Messianic Jewess, refer to it as THE FIRST COVENANT, but it is so much MORE! The First COVENANT is always referred to in the Second COVENANT for teaching! Jeremiah 31:31 tells us of the coming "born again" experience which first happened in Jerusalem on Shavout (Pentacost) EXACTLY as prophesied.

12:40 the REALIZATION 13:42 the concept of the Last Days All that Israel has done and gone through was to Bless the world...to bless us, those living today....the know the Messiah....that we may learn...to LEARN... to WALK IN THE BLESSING, that it NOT become a curse....praise God...what a plan... But what pain. For centuries, for melinial... For us.... I am overwhelmed.... I am overcome... With this realization.... How GREAT is this plan, is this life. This existence.... May I have you Father through faith in your beautiful Son. Let my heart be full of LOVE got your children, for your creation...for your purpose. Amen

I absolutely love you brother and the wisdom and knowledge of God's Word that the Lord gave you. I love listening to your studies, and learning from you. I wish I could be a part of that zoom meeting but I'm way too poor for anything like that. Maybe someday if the rapture doesn't happen first. Circumstances beyond my control left me homeless and penniless so I'm living in an old schoolbus hoping someday just to have running water and a toilet again. But I listen to your studies on One for Israel and absolutely love them and you. I'm a gentile but have a DEEP love for God's people, especially born again Jewish brothers and sisters because you understand the old testament so much more than we do, so you can show us so many things we read so many times but didn't see in it before❣️❣️❣️

2 Corinthians 3:12-16 [12]Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: [13]And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: [14]But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. [15]But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. [16]Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
