You can tell their missing lekks and yp, both would have killed this song. ASAP ferge wasn't on par but he didn't ruin the song, these days there are too many American mumble rappers, at least you could clearly hear everything he said.
@bigwills534 жыл бұрын
Ferg's been on that melodic shit for a bit. Would've loved to hear some 2013 Ferg on this. He used to be on his grimy grimy shit, but it's been a while. This is still a HUGE moment for Aussie drill. Despite his average verse, this is still such a cool collab. As an American, this is only gonna help them blow up more over here, and that makes me so goddamn happy.

I'm personally not into Drill with autotune, I love Onefour but what makes Drill so refreshing musically for me is it's differences from the homogenised sounds of modern pop/trap/hop
@iam55904 жыл бұрын
i can respect that opinion but you should also respect the fact that if drill is to grow it will need to develop its own little sub genres, this one four ting is from australia where they’re trying their own ting but got influenced by us, let them experiment i say because the track slaps regardless and they’re still gonna drop straight up drill tings that you know and rate
@ThankYouCityOfficial4 жыл бұрын
@@iam5590 I fully agree with you on the development of the genre being an important one! Genre's and sub genres that fail to experiment and change will invariably stagnate and become derivative. And let it be known I still love this track from my countrymen Onefour (I'm Australian too), they have always pushed those boundaries hard and have smashed it when playing outside of their initial sound like with Welcome to Prison! I guess what I'm saying is that in terms of preferences of my personal own I prefer Drill without autotune etc because I hear it so much already in modern music. Sung vocals in a Drill track still bang, I just prefer it without the added processing.
@reknful4 жыл бұрын
I agree to a point, but I think what aus drill that pulls me in is when they go bar for bar and relative word play roping you in throughout the entire song. I like hooks, not a chorus.
@ThankYouCityOfficial4 жыл бұрын
@@reknful Absolutely, Onefour stand apart from many groups for their ability to tell their story throughout a song and really back each other up in the verses and choruses to build a strong overarching tale.

This slaps 🔥🔥🔥 J. Emz went in, the hook's mean, his approach to the verse and vocal switch up was killer , Ferg was dope, cold ass flow, he held it down, the mobbin deep/prodigy bar and the fact hes ON the track at all is crazy af n spenny , his flow on every song ive heard him on is so fkn catchy and he murked this verse, hard hitting bars, and slick flow. Whole things solid, sucks that lekks and YP are away but the song is historic still goes hard af 🔥🔥

One Four making moves getting US artists on their music. Regardless of whether you think Ferg went HARD, he definitely did his thing and I think the aim was to get their names out there internationally. Once you're in the scene its a lot easier to do collabs once ppl start fkn with you. Remember, Ferg is different to a Lil Uzi Vert feature that nobody respects.

I love Onefour, but I really do hope after this song more of the overall scene gets attention, not just drill (HK, Rick, OneFour, HP boyz, Lisi, 21, section60 etc) but also the grime scene, such as Wombat, Huskii, n Chill, then ofc the traditional hip hop like Pirate Mafia, Maundz, Tornts, Hilltop Hoods, SBX (Drapht, Hunter which is really old school etc.) and ofc the West Coast scene which is death rap, with my personal fave Complete and the rest of the TPWs crew. Cuz Aussie rap has a whole has so much to offer, not just OneFour
@ogc40484 жыл бұрын
@Sea Break19 aight man if thats how you feel, thats how you feel, no need to get agro, I don't even really listen to aussie grime, I prefer modern and old school WA rap as well as UK, US, n Aus Drill, but I still acknowledge grime, trap, horrocore etc. is there and there is talent. I also never said they are on par with OneFour, I just said the overall Aussie scene should get recognition. Cuz ur right Onefour has done wonders as a group for themselves as well as Australian music and bringing to light a side of Australia that not many know about or would rather ignore and being at the forefront of the Polynesian movment, which is very important. And yes, truth is a massive part of it, Onefour are honest, well as honest as they can be. But so are other artists from other genres, they rap their truth and you can't dictate what is and what isn't their reality, unless you have actual evidence rather then just insults, and nitpicks on what they look like etc. Like I said you can feel and think what you want ghee, I ain't got no problem, but don't come in here acting all superior like and top shit, you're just another youtube commenter who got pissed off at another comment, relax n actually have a conversation, it ain't that hard. Peace.
@stevencastro60364 жыл бұрын
Maaaan mad respect pausing the video in between. Haven't seen many of your recent vids so dont know if this is a new thing you're doing, giving commentary in between vids, but i know its not something you do often. N the fact you do it for the boys representing Aus is fkn awesome!!. Man one four all the way. Go hard boys. Wish all the success you deserve. Keep preaching 🙏
@timkruse99124 жыл бұрын
I salute the onefour boys for having the leap of faith and experimenting and expanding their sound, they are thinking bigger, (globally us and uk etc) because drill groups dont have that type of longevity in the game, so i salute them for even making this collab on short notice due to ferg's schedule. that all kiiled their verses.

I'm not disappointed at all. 8.5/10. Jemz was so fire on this, from the super catchy hook to the energy to the autotune which was imo not overdone and gave some wavey nuances. The only problem I have with Ferg's verse was the shift in energy, I like the flow and deep vocals but it was too laid back in comparison. Btw the Corona bar was slick but also kinda corny cuz we can't stand hearing it anymore😂 And then Spenny shelled it. Love the switch in flow and the aggressive delivery. And can we PLEASE acknowledge the production by Gotcha❗the vocal chops were so soulful and this glitchy, abrupt 808 was one of the dirties i've heard in a while🔥
