I got my new Oneida Phoenix and in this video i will show you the unboxing, basic setup and doing some shooting with the new Oneida Eagle Phoenix.
I will be in my yard and my max range is 80 yards because of trailers on the other side of the house. Hope you enjoy.

Draw cycle, little if any riser torque at full draw, ease of tuning. It's a historic company that's still here in 2020 and I want to support them, The oneida is flat out accurate, comfortable, and forgiving to shot angles coming out of a tree or on the ground.

What arrows do you use for hunting? Are they 300s full length at 31 inches? Are you going to do an arrow selection vid any time soon? I just ordered my Phoenix and want to set it up right. I’m a 29 1/2 draw
@TRIBEDRAKE
@TRIBEDRAKE 3 жыл бұрын
Right now I’m using gold tip 340 I have full length, currently using some 340 with about 1.5” cut off them, live gold tip arrows but I mess around with arrow setups all the time but always stay with gold tip My buddy is a 30” draw and he uses 300 spine gold tip shafts and they tune great, if you can find a good deal on them I’d get the 300 spine cause u have a longer draw

So been thinking,,I shot instinctive,but I dont hold near as long as you do,cause I just draw,its good,let it fly,,but out past 35 yrds I suffer with judging distance,you hold for a good while,are you referencing something for distance??
@TRIBEDRAKE
@TRIBEDRAKE 3 жыл бұрын
Just hold to get as steady as possible if I can, shooting moving targets or game I can’t do that, I don’t use anything to reference distance on the bow, sometimes the blur of the point comes into play, guess u could say it’s like split vision shooting

Hey, thinking about starting to hunt more instinctive. No sights and fingers. Ive had a longbow in the past but never felt confident enough to take a shot at a deer. Im being drawn to the oneida for the added power and let off. Do you know what the differences between the phoenix and limited edition phoenix oneida? Thanks. Just wondering, where are you located? The landscape looks alittle like my pa woods.

@@TRIBEDRAKE thanks for the reply. I’m thinking about getting one of the camo ones and long. Draw length is close to 30inch. Sounds good, I shot an 8 point couple weeks ago. So I’m thinking about getting the Oneida and practicing till next season. Your daughter get one yet? Like to see that in a video. P.s. This is alittle corny but after watching your vids, youre a pretty good shot but a better father. Keep up the good work and passing on our outdoor traditions

The only thing different I see is the snake skin limbs, comes with a module tree with different ones, you make the left off feel exactly the way you want, you can also set the draw length perfectly to fit you down to the 1/16th with the draw stops.
