Please forgive me for asking a wrong question. This has been bothering me for a while. Iblees was a jinn and the command was given to the Angels. Was Iblees considered an Angel when this command was given to all the Angels to bow and honor Adam (AS)?

The whole point is that Iblis was simply accepted into the society of those angels and therefore the order at that moment applied to him too, because he was part of the society to which the order was given.

The angel's were referring to the jinn because Allah says that He created the humans and jinn only to worship him. Offcourse there's the animals and plants but they're not responsible and have no free will. The jinn kind were living on earth and caused corruption and shed each other's blood. That's why the angels thought this creation mankind would do the same as the jinn. If Allah had created any other creation Allah would have mentioned it to the Prophets so don't make up stories without any proof. Don't put doubt in people's minds

we have the choice to be better. they dont have free will it is impossible for them to do a sin, however we have free will. we can do good or bad, our choice. we can be better by doing a good deed because even though we have free will, we have the option to sin, we still chose to do a good deed. however if we do a bad deed, that makes us lesser than angels because they have 0 sins. please correct me if im wrong, but i think that's how we are superior and inferior to the angels at the same time.

Important lesson. Don't think you are the best because you don't know. Another important lesson. You can desire to be better than others in terms of deen, but you should also wish the same for them. For example, I desire to be the best in piouty, and to outdo others, but I also desire the same for my other Muslim Brothers and Sisters. Third, don't have a sense of entitlement. Allah is not bound to do anything for you. Imagine had Iblees actually obeyed Allah, maybe he would have been raised to a higher rank. One of the stories that is mentioned in the tafsir which the speaker did not mention was that the jinn were basically fighting each other in the earth. Now, as the speaker said, this could be the jinn or some other creation, but I'm just quoting the tafsirs. One version even says they killed the hinn and the binn and began fighting each other. Anyway, Iblees, who was known as Azazil at the time, asks Allah if he can go with an army of angels and punish these jinns. So he goes down, and he kills all the disobedient jinns and banishes them to the waters. And the rest was explained in this video.

Iblis not understanding taqwah (piety)? No, good sir. HE UNDERSTOOD IT COMPLETELY. He was that for thousands of years. He jealousy turned arrogance towards Adam was that he was merely being created and given more "honor" than he was. And as for hating Adam because he's made from clay vs being made from fire, it's because he inspected Adam via flowing through him and saw him as a hollow creature. All because he had no soul at the time. The fact that a bunch of people do the same thing when it comes to The Jinn believing that they aren't meant to be half the things humans are when God explicitly said; "And I did not create Jinn and Man except for them to worship me." - Quran, 51:56 is irritating beyond all levels of animosity. But what do I know? A bunch of people are aware that all of us are human beings regardless of ethnicity or what part of this ball of rock of a world we're born on, AND STILL utter ethnically racist BS, just irritates me beyond all forms of animosity. Of course you will think of The Jinn so lowly just because they are "different" from you in one or several ways. Because you do it to your fellow humans. You talk taqwah being such "honor". Meaning those who live longer can reap many good deeds. Well, here are The Jinn, who can live for THOUSANDS OF YEARS. Every time God says; "O you who believe", that's said directly towards all of mankind and jinnkind who believe. And everytime he brings up "O you of mankind", then clearly God is speaking to humans in general, because The Jinn were able to live longer and remember a handful of prophets prior to the era of Muhammad (SAW). And that's not even counting The Night of Qadar. It applies to Jinnkind as well because it applies to the *UMMAH* (people) of Muhammad (SAW). Meaning mankind and Jinnkind. So now, we've dug as deep as we could from the surface of the topic, let's reflect the surface of this topic. Now that you have an understanding of how Jinn can reap many good deeds than that of humans because of living longer, here is Iblis who reaped many good deeds, and became jealous of Adam because of the "honor" he was given just by being created to the point where Iblis became arrogant. People misunderstand other wordly events because they don't even take a close look. I would know because you can't even *look at them.* So all I did was gather the context and shared them to you here. Iblis understood everything, he just let his arrogance get the better of him. And it's arrogance that was his first sin. Not just any sin, his *FIRST* sin. When one commits a sin within the seven skies, they get kicked out immediately. It happed with The Jinn before Iblis, it happened with Iblis, and it then happened with Adam and Eve. So yeah... Iblis's first sin was arrogance. You can feel the way you want to until you act upon it. If Iblis just listened, he would've understood God's purpose behind everything, but he didn't. Because he didn't care.

I don't think that's how Iblis thought about himself. His arrogance was formed out of his jealousy. And his jealousy was not formed from being known to be the best, it was formed because Adam was given special priveleges AT HIS MOMENT OF CREATION... vs what Iblis got after worshipping God for thousands of years. I imagine that God had special plans for Iblis. I don't know what they exactly were, but it clearly wasn't to make him The Devil. Because God didn't make him The Devil against his will, Iblis chose it. Out of pride, out of arrogance. I just wonder if God intended to create Adam and have Iblis guide him and the rest of mankind aright. I wonder. Given that Iblis was indeed the best servant of God prior to Adam's creation, I'm sure he could've taught Adam and most of mankind a lot of good things. Like how he tries to corrupt as much of mankind as possible, he could've guided as much of them as possible via his whispers. But God knows best. After all, The Jinn had wreaked so much havoc that only a few existed at the time. God knowing if he any of them were good or bad during the time of Adam's creation.

Some part of this man's explanation is confusing, in surah AL Baqara angels really mean human beings when they said Allah will you create a creation that will spill blood and corrupt the world but later Allah show them the meaning and philosophy behind this creation when Allah begin that he knows something that they do not know, after that they glorify Allah for his power and majesty, in this video this man mixes things that are not part of this story like dinosaurs and if there were creation similar to humans. Allah indeed is talking about Humans in surah Baqra chapter 2:30 because right in the next ayat 2:31 and 2:32 Allah further tells that then Allah taught Adam the name of the things (Gave him knowledge about some things) and put those things in front of the Angels and asked the angels tell me the names of these things and they said Indeed your are the mightiest (All-Knowledgeable) and we don’t have this knowledge we only know what you’ve taught us. Indeed you are the All-Knowing. It goes beyond then this you can verify that in the Quran. So from these 2 Ayaat and furthermore we know that Allah Indeed was talking about Humans that he’s about to create Humans(Creation) and the Angels were indeed talking about us that Ya Allah they will spill blood and disobey you are you really going to create a Creation(Humans) who will spill blood and will disobey you for which Allah Replies I know what you don’t know. Please don’t put your theories and logics or someone elses like other scholar’s logics in Quran. We have a proper Guidance for Quran (Islam) it is Hadith.
