I've been to this one, great set up. You drive in thro a livery yard, drive through one gate, shut that behind you and your dog can just jump out of your car and open the gate in front of you straight into the secure field. Our greyhound was fascinated by the horses in the field next door but one👍

My hounds had perfect recall at the dog park...just a whistle and they would come every time. If they got loose around the house, they suddenly developed a hearing issue, lol. I am looking forward to getting some acreage in Monterey county where I can fence in a field this size.

Love watching the progress of Rosie. I have just got another Whippet puppy (now up to three!). There is a "dog field" at Woodgreen (near Fordingbridge, Hampshire) that I use from time to time called Merry Tree Paddock Hire. £7 for half an hour (that is all you need with a Whippet) with no limit as to how many Whippets you take.

Hector has grown up walking and chasing off-lead until his heart's content down here in the Fenlands. Almost no cattle, flat fields and riverbanks away from roads where you can watch their back. Highly recommended for a visit with the whippet, after harvest season.

Four big fenced field near here. Not all available at once because every so often the ‘flying flock’ or some ponies will be in one of them. (There will be a warning notice at the gate). I also can let them off in the forest. My dogs have good recall and this is the second whippet I’ve who has been running in the forest for the last ten years. When away in the motorhome I like to go to the beach.

hiya guys and a huge hello to th3 gorgeous louie and baby Rosie. I'm from earby originally which is between colne in lancashire and skipton and I used to take my 2 greyhounds tiger and lillie to letcliffe Park in Barnoldswick there is a very safe fully fenced off and good sized paddock area to let them off and you don't t pay. shame it's too far for me and greyhound river now we live in Blackburn. also in nelson Lancashire there is a park called Marsden Park which is reasonably sized, not massive bit has a fully fenced off area like a paddock again amd that's where I used to take river. no charge there either, we love freebies xxx!

Here in America, where I live its rural so I've been searching before my pup arrives in spring. As to where he can run . I have to seek permission I was going check 3/4 fenced in soccer field when games are not scheduled . And my small village has a park no fencing but a creek on one side and a steep grade on other easy walk away for me . Some geese there not sure if its ideal? Never seen any rabbits there. I have a yard about 1 1/2 acres thinking of adding fencing. should it 4 feet high? We have a ton of rabbits around I want to teach re-call.

Great vlog Dave beautiful location. Um there’s nothing around Bournemouth that I would call safe for whippet. Plenty of beach’s and woods where I’m always on the look out to make sure there ok. That be a great thing down this way :) Congratulations John for winning the olight :) Hopefully mines gone through ok I did email Emma to book my four whippy girls to meet up with you both Louie and Rosie in the 3rd :) hopefully 🙏 I’ll have to bring my campervan tho, be nice to make a weekend up there with them. Ahhh thanks for the Doris the whippet mention!! She watched the whole video! Loved it and can’t wait for zoomies in the field. our safe place to take Doris for a good blast off lead is hunmamby gap beach. Our local private dog park is one at bramham called bowcliffe paddock Leeds 23. And another private dog park called woofing woods dog park also in Leeds ls 16 They seem to be popping up everywhere and are a great idea to keep your dogs safe 👍🏻

Great video, ive used a couple of secure fields near me (York) but having one dog its not great for him as he isn’t interested in balls, he just loves to play with other dogs. Recall is an issue too so he has limited free running. Next time maybe you could have a mixed breed meetup?

There is a place called Rabbit Rock in the north east of Scotland near Craigellachie where we take our whippet, beautiful scenery and perfect for our dog 😃

Our dog park in the USA is very similar, but you don’t book it or pay and any amount of dogs. They have water available and benches. They also have a separate section for little dogs.

what a coincidence !!! i watch your vids but never saw this this, ive been trying to book a slot at that molescroft dog field the lady mentioned , its packed solid ! hopefully her third feild will be open soon. its a fantastic idea and not too expensive really. i have a five and half month old whippet whos just crazy, he loves all dogs but how id love a whippet meet up day with you ! im not far from malton and used to live in pickering....i miss it dearly with the Moors and all. please let me know if you have another meet up. im a first time whippet owner and omg...they are a challenge hahaha. as i said im yet to visit a secure feild but im trying to get a slot somewhere, oh ..found one in Market weighton just online..east yorkshire called Berties feild. i do hope you see this reply , love and best wishes.

Louie is a rescue dog had 4 homes before coming to us and was advertised as a rehome on the Internet Rosie we got us a puppy from a private breeder that also advertised on the Internet if you check out my KZbin channel we are getting a whippet puppy all the info is on there 👍🙏😍🐾

Next time your in Malton, if you've not already, go to Tui's Thai restaurant and cocktail bar... The food is amazing, and, as a veggie, there's a wide choice as they don't use fish stock in many dishes... Brill cocktails as well... I'm full time, but my sisters is my postal, in Pickering (some great bars there as well)... Regards Alex... 🙂

Fun fact: There used to be a professional Mountainbiker named Kelly McGarry who actually owned a Whippet lady and trail dog which was called Tui aswell. She is featured in a video edit that was released shortly after his death (never diagnosed heart problems) called "Grip it and Whippet". Highly recommended to see some Whipped action on MTB trails :)

Mostly ran my lurchers on the lonelier beaches around here I always felt better about them running on a softer surface away from wire fences .The last one was a show off though, He liked running best on cliff edges ,between pine trees or anywhere in fact he thought would scare the poop out of me . Here was nice and safe: tributes.disbelief.hurricane This is fun but muddy :broom.losing.drumbeat His favourite place to terrify me :premiums.ship.equivocal ^those are what3words references if you got confused .

Cary is doing better with his stops🤚.I run Cary at are park about 3 minutes away it has creek on one side and a steep bank on other . So far he hasn't run off hardley no one around .He has jump in creek but one dunk its to cold he found out. Biggest problem to watch for is the racoons spilling out garbage cans. I'am sure when senses a female he will run off. His recall is really good.

I haven't even got a dog, but might book a slot in the off chance I bump into Emma. Fosse meadows near hinckley ain't bad. Not totally sure it's 100 per cent dog proof. But if your dog is trained and good at recall shouldn't be any issues.
