Fun fact: The architect who desiged Masjid Istiqlal was actually a Christian (Friedrich Silaban). He was a close partner to our first president (Soekarno) and trusted him with the design of the masjid. 😊

Fun facts about these two buildings: 1. There is a tunnel that connects both of them under the road. 2. When the mosque's parking lot is full, the church will open up its parking lot and allow Muslims to park there, then go through the tunnel to reach the mosque. This goes both ways.

It was said by Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ismael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aaroon, also Jesus himself, and Muhammad. If Jesus was also a messenger of God, why He change the message? And elected himself different with previous messengers? It doesn't make sense.. The fact is, the so called "follower of Jesus" change the message of God, with his own thingking. It has been happen before, after Moses's followers changed the message of God by his own pen. Jeremia 8 : 8 (KJV) How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is , Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord. >> It was clear, that the scribes, a Jew that follow the law of Moses, ask the Jesus about the most important thing, the first commandement of all, and Jesus reply, that his reply was quoted from Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel; The Lord Our God IS ONE LORD" This is the true teaching of all of Messenger of God. To teach mankind, that the TRUE GOD IS ONE. If Jesus will teach about Trinity, that was the perfect time to do. In front of many people, including Jew people, if the trinity is his teaching, why he doesn't say, "The Lord our God is Three in One?" Think about it.. And if we read the history of Christianity, we can know that the divinity of Jesus came later, on the Nicea Council 325AD, sealed by Emperor Constantine. I agree with you. Just don't follow religion by born on it.

Sheikh we have to be honest. Many muslim countries have such non muslim places of worship and have MANYYY non Muslims living freely in those countries, but some aren't like that. Take the example of Pakistan 🇵🇰 These guys still don't know the difference between Jewish and Israelis. There used to be a synagogue in karachi and many Jews living in early years but after creation of Israel, Pakistani Jews started fearing for their lives and fled in large numbers. Now there's no more synagogue and many Jews I've heard hide their religion. I'm from Karachi so I know this very well.

It actually isn't something new for a Caliphate to have churches, or even synagogues, within it. A more appropriate question is what's the _sharia_ rulings for the places of worship belonging to the religions outside the People of The Book, because Indonesia also guarantees religious freedom for Hindus, Buddhists, and Confucianists. I'm willing to be educated more on this issue.

I am from Malaysia. In front of my house there are eight(8) churches of various denominations, both local and international flavors. you can imagine the parking crowding both sides of street on Sunday. luckily for one church, they pray on Saturday [SDA]. needless to say we have to be extra careful driving exiting and entering our gate.

I hope this open the eye of people in south Korea especially Daegu because people there are so scared of Islam and still have that Islamophobia in them. I dont wanna say much but you can search on building a mosque in Daegu South Korea. In my hometown,we also have this kind of situation. Church and mosque facing each other just across the street. If the Christian doing their Sunday prayer,the Mosque will open their gate so that the Christian people can park their car inside the Mosque and when it's time the Muslim doing their Friday prayer,the Church will open their gate so that the Muslim can park inside the church parking area. Isnt it lovely. 🥰
