Wow, what a great recording. It's so real and pure and immediate, like great music should be. All the great records made in that famous room were done this way.

beautiful recording well done! one of the better recordings in your mix- im not sure if placement of where people stand is the key but I would think- well blended for sure! thank you! you should put these up on Spotify and Amazon HD - I would love to hear these on my playlists!

i loved ! thank you. One question: how did you put reverb on the voice?
@onemic-theminimalist2 жыл бұрын
During the mastering process I added a slap delay. The same effect was done by Sam Phillips in the 1950s'.

Did the voice recorded overdub afterwards? Or how did you get to level up the vocals so good? He moves away from the microphone at the end of every phrase but it doesn’t sound like that on the mix. I hear clearly compression on those vocals, but the whole mix doesn’t feel as compressed as the vocals… so, I’m thinking there’s a separate overdub vocals track where you had the chance to add some spice right?

It's all live, no overdubs. The band isn't very loud in the room and he's pretty close to the mic. Some compression is added to the stereo track in mastering.

Sounds incresdible¡¡so great, only thing i would touch is the second voice is to far when singing so sounds a bit bad
@onemic-theminimalist3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree the second vocal could be louder at times. When picking a take to go with there are many considerations.
