Really depends what you’re shooting and in what conditions. A good starting point in sunny weather is f8, iso 100, shutter of 1/800 and adjust from there

@onemoreweektogo2 жыл бұрын
Video is quite a bit different. The shutter speed should depend on your fps (1/50 for 24fps, 1/120 for 60fps, etc). You may want to invest in a neutral density filter if you’re going to be shooting on bright sunny days.
@Aviation-Travel2 жыл бұрын

Thanks for motivating me to get out there never shot with pro gear but excited to do so !’ So I’ll do 1/120 since I’m shooting at 60 fps and most days are sunny and or mild sun ☀️! 100 ISO and F8 to start? Thanks again! I heard of polarized lense cap! Is that same as what you are referring to deflect sun? Thanks

Currently watching: What gimbal did u use? Good shots of trees, feels sorta repetitive. More sound design, birds and wind sounds. I liked the mask transition. Omg ur room.... aww Peterson Omg you not focused when u were driving as mad annoying. I like your mask KADEN!!!!! Tripod looks very familiar lol YESSSSSSSSSSS CRISPY SHOTS! Um idk if it’s just my 5k monitor but they look weird.... not that crispy actually. 120 frames 🥺🥺🥺 Oh man Sichuan panda with the music gave me goosebumps. Did u shoot this in 1080 and upscale to 4K? It doesn’t look like a natural 4K. Haha it looks so cold. I think you should’ve told us about the lens and settings before you did shooting. Would’ve made more sense from the montage to your house. Maybe the Tahiti shot at the end, zooming out from your computer screen. I know you couldn’t do that at the angle you shot it at. Very much enjoyed watching your workflow. Overall, I enjoyed the video. I feel that your sense of time in your videos is different compared to mine. I don’t have anything against it, I would cut quicker but it’s your creativity and your choice I will not tell you to change it. I think the narrative of the video was much better than your last. It flowed better and we got to see more of the final product. Also clean your room man. Anyways, happy Saturday big bro. Good one :)

Gimbal: Zhiyun Weebill S The 120fps shots were done in 1080p cause thats only what my camera can do, and i exported at 4k. Might try a different tool to upres next time. Amazing video! Could you share your camera settings for close/medium range planespotting as i recently got some kit and want to get started!
@onemoreweektogo2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Depends what you mean by close, and depends at what angle you're shooting them from. If there is a lot of movement and you need to follow the plane quickly, I suggest starting off with a higher shutter speed like 1/640 or 1/800 to make sure it is sharp. Usually a nice sharp aperture would be around f8.0, but if you want the background to be more blurred you could use something lower like f4.0 or f5.6. It all depends on the lighting conditions though.

Hey I’ve got a question for you. When you’re taking the pictures, how do you perfect the focus? I tried auto focus and it’s too slow but when I try manual focus, 3 out of 10 pictures came out perfect. The other 7 is just not clear enough. Any tips on improving this? And also do you think a stand helps with photography?
@onemoreweektogo9 ай бұрын
I think you definitely need to rely on auto focus for fast moving objects like airplanes. You just won't nail the focus reliably for plane shots unless the plane is not moving. There might be something wrong with your auto focus settings. Without more info unfortunately I can't really help you too much. A tripod would help if you're doing long exposures of aircraft, or if you're doing some panning on a fluid head tripod, or more videography.
@lmaourmum34449 ай бұрын
@@onemoreweektogo ah I figured I set my af to like single shot instead of moving objects. I’ll try it on cars first then I’ll try it on planes. And maybe I will be getting a tripod since I have shaky hands lol
