Oneness in Creation - Part 10
“Why Do We Wander?"
With Rabbi Ari Sollish
Recorded live at The Torah Center ATL on Sunday, September 1, 2024
It's a truth of the Jewish story: we are a wandering people. Abraham wandered. Jacob wandered. Moses and the generation of the Exodus wandered. And for the last 2000 years, we too have wandered. Why all the wandering?
On the surface, it may seem due to our lack of worthiness. Our indiscretions caused the Holy Temples to be taken away from us, and led to us being a people unsettled. But there's so much more to the story.
The Kabbalists explain that Jewish wandering has a positive, G-dly purpose. For it is only in our wandering that we can complete the task we have been given, and help guide the world toward its originally intended alignment. And that grants it profound meaning.
In this session of Kabbalah Café we explore the soul of Jewish wandering and discover the spiritual purpose of our travels.
The Torah Center ATL takes pride in offering innovative, inclusive, and impactful educational programs to all. People from a diverse spectrum of life find the Torah Center to be a warm and non-judgmental community in which to experience the richness and authenticity of Jewish learning and heritage.
