I remember listening to this as I would walk home from college to my house which was about 10 blocks away. Always at night. I had no idea at the time that wonderful period of my life was ending, what I would consider the final days of a blessed childhood, and I got this weird feeling every time I listened to this song that something big was about to change and I should savor every second of those walks home while staring at the radio tower lights in the distance.

For people who've already been to that place in the mind; beyond here and now, beyond physical existence and found the safety and welcome of infinite mystery.

This really closely articulates the way I've always thought about this era of his music.

@@solarium001 he's referred to 2006-2013 as his "existential dread" period, so it definitely lines up... it's made even less subtle when you realize he makes several references to emil cioran in his work from this era. it comforts me seeing how many others take similar meaning from his music

@@09cf it's a bit scary like digital desolation almost -like a search for life on an empty planet or ruined nature by egoic men.

I feel like a big rock at the freezing cold beach with only the light of the stars above who are witnissing my demise as the waves slowly consume me.

Music is the mathematical language of our universe in sound, I am convinced

altho the relationship was short and it’s been 6 months since I’ve seen him. he is now with a new lover. I am in utter disbelief about the cruel reality of life and emotions and attachment.

I imagine the space, with this melody.

The imagery I get here is of early computers and my formative years, but also of machine systems in the distant future. Much love

Through the labyrinth, beyond time and space, the artist seeks his way out to a clearing.

every now and then I come back here, see your comment again, and it reminds me of something I've forgotten in the meantime

@@crackbaby4444 It is a quote from Marcel Duchamp my friend. Nicolas Jaar used it as a sample in one of his mixes.
