The teaching of these three imputations packs in so much depth and impactful theology; wonderfully laid out!

I love listening to Dr. Lawson. But maybe in the future can you cut out like the stuff that has nothing to do with the lesson. I mean 18 minutes in and the lesson hasn’t started? Just a thought…

Regarding the 2nd half of verse 12, I’ve heard an unusual and intriguing explanation. That biologically speaking, within Adam’s body were the seeds that the entire human race would be born from. We were ALL technically within Adam. So if he “bore within his body the consequences of his sin” like Paul says in Romans, then that may be a _biological_ scientific explanation for why we all inherited his sin. I don’t know if it’s true, it’s just an intriguing concept. What are your thoughts? 🙂 Also, I don’t remember tue name of the pastor I heard that from, sadly, or I would give credit.

How are we responsible for what Adam did

Starts at about the 20:00 mark and continues. We are still responsible for what we did/what we do and the sin that so easily entangles us

Adam was our representative. He was not marred by sin and therefore was the best representative in the best environment we could have, even better than we could represent ourselves.

I think responsible is the wrong word - more like, we are corrupted by what Adam did.

Because we came from sin fallen Adam we came from his seed and his blood and that blood became defiled we he fell in sin and that is now why we need to be cleansed by the Holy blood of Jesus Christ .life is in the blood so it is Christ life that clenses are life that is in the Blood and we becime the seed of Christ by Gods Grace And mercy through faith in His blood .

@@LucianUmbrarescu1994 if you believe that thru one man condemnation came to all men thru imputation if guilt and sin nature... than you also believe in the same way.... salvation came to all men thru imputation of justification. This is the universalism charge. so to get around this charge of universalism... calvinists then limit the atonement to the elect only. imputed depravity results in a doctrine of infant damnation and you are trying to convince me of this?

@@chrisstevens1156 Yes. We're missing that God is sovereign. And I trust in His sovereign will. Chapter 5 is followed by Chapter 9 : He has mercy upon who He has mercy.

@@LucianUmbrarescu1994 do you believe that the sins of the old testament sacrifices took on the guilt of the humans? that the lambs became sinners by imputations? He bore our iniquities, he didn't commit our iniquities. the thought is.... you are saying that Jesus was actually guilty and seperated from the Father and there is disunity in the trinity. That Jesus became a guilty sinner and a transgressor. Just like Christ actually committed the act of sin. the key that I think you are missing is the end of verse 12. (BECAUSE ALL SINNED) we sinned.... not.... he sinned. adam brought death and pain... one Man brought life... Adam did not go to hell. Can you say adam went to hell?
