Everything in this world is practically about money and money only, whatever wisdom says otherwise! Even Sadhguru's Coimbatore Ashram programs have clearly segregated tickets with price tags such as more than 300000 INR for the premium class and then coming down to 15k or 25k INR level for lower classes! So much for great wisdom !!

This perspective should be mandatory for the children to recite in school before class begins instead of singing the national anthem of this or that country. Nowadays, some people hold the view that because Charles Darwin came up with idea that evolution is all about “survival of the fittest” -nonsense we do the human race a disservice if we start viewing each other’s as equals instead of the intense competition atmosphere we all have to endure now. This is of course an extreme form of “biologism” but due the great lack of spiritual maturity in many parts of the world today such extreme ideas can gain a lot of unnecessary traction.

This talk is another ad nauseam bullshit from Sadguru. The desire to be number one is not a new phenomenon. Our puranic stories are ridden with countless stories on dog-eat-dog sort of competition where even gods and goddesses have obsessed being number one. In fact, the first number one competition was between Brahma Vishnu and Shiva. Indra always feard of losing his number one spot, for which he gets chastized but appallingly gets absolved of all his misdeeds. Similarly, there was a competition between Murugan and Ganesha for the number one position. Another classic example is Arjuna's burning passion for being number one in archery - remember his burning envy about Ekalavia's skills? Yet another, there is a puranic story where there is a competition among the Goddesses - Lakshmi, Parvathi, and Saraswathi for the number one spot. Sadguru states that the desire to be number one inherently makes you derive happiness from others' failures. Unfortunately, he is again dead wrong. Many strive to get to number one, not making others feel worse, but they derive happiness in excelling in their task. For example, Lord Shiva liked asuras because they were intensely competitive and worked very hard to excel in occult practices- like Ravana or Hirinya kashapu. They had ego problems for which they paid the price but did excel in sadhana, and even Gods had to bow and grant their wishes. Spiritual progress is also very demanding, where each seeker's progress is assessed either by Guru (True ones) or by Divine forces. And more -Terrible fallacious analogies - "Ant, trying to become an elephant; Mango tree becoming a coconut tree." We are talking about intraspecies competition, not interspecies competition. Bolt would never try to compete with a cheetah. If Shiva or Agasthya manifested and tested, then Sadguru and all the devotees would fail their test.
