@@zoppp621 i actually liked the pop up cameras as well, so many people paranoid about the moving part, but to be fair also other brands like xiaomi and oppo got rid of it... i liked the Nord 2 though, fast processor and charging and camera with OIS, it is unseen at that price point. There's the a52/a52s but processor was weaker

Hey Engadget team, Are you drunk 🥴 or what ? You call this as a review ? Hahaha 😂🤣 Why you guys DON'T ever talk about the how's the cellular Call quality 📞 and network reception📶 of LTE or 5G in any of smartphone review videos in whichever places you are testing ? Its such a basic function of any smartphones. You guys just speak about looks and design, display & its refresh rate, performance, cameras, User interface (UI), Updates, charging & price. That's it, nothing else. Here are the some other basics you guys need to cover more in future smartphone review videos, 1) NOBODY ever talks or mention about the how's the speaker quality ? Whether is it a mono or stereo speaker and presence of dolby Atmos or not ? If its a stereo, nobody will tell you how's the stereo separation when listen to music and dialogues. 2) If you're a media consumption type of a person, again here NOBODY talks or points out about the Digital Rights Management (DRM) whether the smartphone chip supports HDR videos or not in video streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video & manymore. Only lord knows 😒😂 3) NO mention of Detailed display screen, whether is it good IPS LCD or AMOLED screen ? If AMOLED Display, again NO pointing out is it good or bad. 4) NO one ever talks or mention of how's the haptic feedback (vibration motor) while typing or gaming, if you enabled it in the settings. 5) NO one ever talked about How's the RAM management & its type (whether is it LPDDR4x or LPDDR5), whether the apps you use more often stays in the memory (i.e, in the background) for longtime or not. 6) NO one ever talked or mention of Screen on time (i.e, SOT) on a single charge. All they say is all-day battery life or slightly extended to next day. It is just same as the smartphone OEMs claims in their presentation or keynote during the launch of that smartphone. 7) Instead of wasting time in unwanted testing few things, tell the audiences about the useful and proper practical features such as How's the Wi-Fi range & whether it has both dual band 2.4 & 5 Ghz band support, whether Bluetooth range is good enought or not & works properly on TWS or on other Bluetooth supported devices, Wi-Fi calling, presence of NFC or not for the contactless payment, smart features like controlling your home devices etc. 8) NO Mention of what type of storage (Is it eMMC 5.1 or UFS 2.1 or UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.0 or UFS 3.1) ? 9) Many smartphones comes with Type-C 2.0 port for fast charging. We as end-users or consumers need Type-C 3.1 for faster file transfer & fast charging. Please add all the above pointers in your written review as well. Thank you.

@@bradavon Regardless of conversion and pricing, it's still not a great deal at that price. I don't know what they call it in the UK, I think Edge 20 Pro or something, but it is around the same price as the 10 Pro here in the U.S. However, it comes with 512 GB or storage. So it's more of a comparison of what you can get for the money. So what is pricing like for the Motorola over there?

I think they are supposed to be launching a 12Gb ram and 265 storage in the US later in the year. I would probably just wait for a bit to see if that actually happens. Also, they will probably push out a few updates by then to fix a bugs found at launch.

As the other comment said, the Ultra is for those that want all the camera features and hardware. This is £799 in the UK so is respectable at the price compared with the Pixel 6 Pro and S22+, £150 cheaper than the latter.

@@kabangaleri8040 The reason they are not releasing the OnePlus 10 base model is because they have the ultra coming. It is not due until July at the earliest, as it is waiting for the new Snapdragon. It will be the best and the one we compare with the Galaxy s22 ultra.

I had the 7 pro, 8 pro, and 8T, and had a friend who had the 9 pro The 7 pro and 8 pro were great at launch, but the 8 pro got some updates later down the line that made the UI worse, and the 8T was good but more of the same in terms of software. Saying this still feels wrong but at this point I’d recommend a samsung. At this point with hex theming and good lock OneUI is pretty much the only actually customizable android skin around. Again, that feels super weird to say looking at how bad samsung’s software has been historically, but I’m happy with my S22 Ultra so far and I think OneUI has come a long way

Could be worth it. Now don't get me wrong I have been eyeing the S22 Ultra as well and have heard a lot of good things about it, from both the internet and a friend's firsthand experience with it but I like One Plus and it kinda feels a little hard to leave them.

For a moment there I thought about upgrading to the 10 pro but after seeing many reviews that it's really not much of a upgrade from the 9 pro (except maybe battery life), I'm sticking with my 9 pro. Camera quality is similar, and the wide angle lens this year is a downgrade. Top it off with the fact only the 128gb model is available (My pro has 256), there is no compelling reason to upgrade

Still waiting for a ultra flagship from OP with promised IP 68 rating, 4K front cam, Ultrasonic fingerprint, Bug free Oxygen, Regular OS updates and security patches, A periscope lens, Consistent performance, Hasselblad hardware, bionic selfie shooter , Aggressive pricing etc. Definitely 10 pro is a better upgrade from last year's flagship but missing some ultra features. If there is any OP ultra or pro plus with mentioned features definitely gonna update. Other brands such as Xiaomi, IQ, VIVO etc are in the game now( Not mentioning apple, Samsung,Google). Customers like us expecting such things from OP. I don't need a flagship killer, just need a ultra flagship with aggressive pricing like OP done before. Hope with the next flagship OP won't disappoint us. After all degrades, it's time for show up. Dont miss the chance to catch up the market. well BBK is differentiating it's brands, i doubt they will make OnePlus the ultimate camera phone, there is Vivo for that,or Oppo which they market as more premium. I think OnePlus is positioned in an awkward place, the good enough flagship

6:17 Blowing out highlights does NOT mean the dynamic range is worse. The oneplus exposes more for the shadows, resulting in a tradeoff on the bright end. The iphone definitely delivered a better photo but the misuse of terminology is not a good look for a review that is supposed to be professional.

Compared to the Pixel 6 Pro; even all the haters in the comment section have to admit it is a better deal. Only because the tensor chip is weaker than the 888 and it is plagued with bugs still ignored since it launched. Here is to seeing how OnePlus handles it. The fact that the phone is $899.99 instead of the $1,000 plus it was last year is a start. Not a flagship killer, but keeping up with the premium flagships.

OnePlus is dry now. For me the only thing they offer is fast charging speeds. I'd much prefer amazing battery life. On my OnePlus 9 Pro the battery is just average giving me roughly 6hrs. I've had the OnePlus One, 3T & now the 9 Pro & unless things change I don't think I'll be coming back to OnePlus as there's nothing special anymore & the price is now streamlined with the others 🤷🏿‍♂️. I might go for a fold next year or see what the Nothing Phone is offering. 💀

This oneplus is really good and it offers oxygen 12 for the international unlock version of this phone. If I buy this it will be in the 256gb 12gbram version still getting a case, a charger in the box and a tongle. At the same time coming out much more cheaper than samsung and apple flagships
