A lot of people and reviewers saying OnePlus is back by looking at the spec sheet. As a OnePlus user the issue is not with the hardware. It's the colorOS thing. OxygenOS was something they made after years of work together with the community. It worked for them perfectly, then they dumped it for colorOS. Now the updates are a complete joke. No matter how good the hardware is, if you can't provide good user experience by timely updates and bug fixes everything is of no use. Carl Pei know this very well.

I feel we need a separate video addressing long term usage in general Ranjit sir. If someone plans to hold on to their device for 4 years then which manufacturer & device is better. This would need to consider not just the build of the device but OS, updates stability, security patch support, warranty, serviceability & service experience. It is difficult to gather genuine information on these aspects as a normal user but hope someone like you can help us out.

absolutely agree with you. I remember when HTC said they will update One A9 faster than Google their Nexus devices + they promised two or even three years of major android updates, and yet they dropped support after nougat update. This does not need to be the case with the OnePlus necessary, but what when Android 17 arrives, and we got unstable build, are they going to provide more updates to polish those bugs or just abandon device as it will be 4 years old at that point. These are things that reviewers don`t talk often.

I am currently using 1+ 8T and after 2 months of android 13 update, a green line appeared on screen 2nd week of feb. When i called 1+ service centre they told that the issue is common in 8t and 9r users. And they promised me that the display would be replaced for free. Even though i bought it in oct 2020 they were like because device is still under 3 years and 1+ supports 3 years of android updates for 8t and because the problem has occured due to software update so the display would be replaced free of cost. And thats why i have sent it for repair. Lets see if they stick to their words not. Update :- got my 8T repaired free of cost. A new display has been put free of cost

Had the same issue, got the same reply, they kept their word (provided it's not damaged in any way). But it took 25 days due to parts shortage, check with them often, I did everyday and do escalate the issue so that they will be more proactive.

Samsung tied up with qualcom for sd 8 gen 2 chip and made clock 3.2G .. so definately geek bench scores will be higher compare to OP 11. Definately 1.3Lak not equal to 50k

@Techie Lady My selection process will be like this. x90 Pro,Mi 13 BIG NO. X90 Pro just because of "FANTACH OOO ESSSS" i just hate that thing, paying King's ransom and giving back os with bloatwares and HOT APPS. That's a big NO Mi 13 Pro, lack of software support. Even though they will provide OTA updates little bit late, im really skeptical about the quality of updates. Op11 The oneplus i used to know hasn't came back yet. Its a really good phone but my over analytical mind pulls me back. That brings me to the ultimate duo S23 vs Pixel 7 I will prefer pixel 7 blindly. Just for the camera and UI. Boy o boy class leading camera (edit. I mean still camera video camera is more like mehh. As a person who uses still than video camera i can live with it ) and buttersmooth stock experience. But i will have to sacrifice performance and expert mode(why Google why. Give us some control noo) especially i will miss samsung's expert raw. The extra reason i will choose pixel 7 over S23 is the one UI. Yeah that's a really good ui but I'm not a fan of it.

Ranjit, when I took a look at OnePlus 11 at Croma, when gallery is opened for the first time it asked for some permissions to use the features and stated how OnePlus processes our data. What is your opinion on that? Is the device safe in terms of privacy? Or should we go with stock android options? Did you find any privacy related permissions that raised any suspicions?

S23 is only good in cameras. Battery draining is severe. Charging is damn slow. 1 and half hour. UI is not as feature rich as other custom UIs. I have just sold my S23 after a month usage.

I feel that android companies intentionally slow down the phone's performance with OTA updates. If possible can you perform a comparison of android smartphone thatlaunched maybe last year without apply any major updates to it and then compare it to same smartphone in which latesr ota updates are installed? Ex s22 plus without OTA updates and then compare it with s22 plus with ota updates or maybe just compare it with latest s23 , both without any OTA updates It would be an interesting comparison 🤔

Hey I am currently watching this video from my One Plus 11 5G and I also own an iPhone 13(not the pro version). I some how find the amoled display in the One Plus better than the iPhone for some reason. I might be biased however I would have to accept this, the 16gb ram and 256gb storage version runs eons faster than the iPhone. The phone just feels super snappy. I have been a long time fan of iOS, however some how I always find my self picking up the one plus instead of the iPhone in case of general use.

@@Ado-T I think the overall value for money is oneplus 11 as it doesnt have bad camera and ofcourse you can edit good photos with snapseed application. Good screen and fast charging too. Oxygen OS will approve considering they are taking their situation seriously. Second is pixel 7 if you are camera user more than gaming user. But prefer a 256GB variant which is not available but flipkart somehow selling 128GB phone but in real they are 256GB so it depends on luck. I choose samsung 23 because i got it in 53K and i needed small phone. The camera is good at the price i got it and overall software experience is good considering i have samsung watch and samsung tab S8+ too to sit into the ecosystem.

Hi Ranjit sir, By default high performance mode is turned off in OnePlus phones. You can turn on High performance mode and then run benchmarks again and compare the scores. Ps. I ran benchmarks in my OP 10pro with and without high-performance mode and there for performance difference if nearly 20%

Switching to OP 11, I was shocked when I saw these Geekbench 6 results and I wasn't aware about High Performance mode. Later, I tried on high performance mode and results were what you would expect from sd8 gen2. (1920, 5036)

Pendrive laga kar jab data transfer karo to bahut hi jyada slow speed se transfer hota hai 2 MB se bhi kam speed par. 2. I used to be a strong user of brand X ( talking like since 2016) .. as it progresses their OS became extremely bad. Customer service is basically useless, tech supports are merely people whom they select with no proper screening (anyone can answer anyone). Moved to Samsung and it feels extremely safe and secure. One UI is solid, safe and just simply works. For users who are going to buy their very first mobile phone, I would strongly suggest you to take Samsung or Google. If you're in a very tight budget then consider Realme. Brand Xs specs look great on paper but not in real life uses.

I bought the 16gb variant and it is UFS 3.1 and 5X Ram which makes phone really fast .. and for the geek bench score you need to ON the performance mode which is OF my default . Ranjit sir, i am a tech enthusiast and changes my primary smartphone max to max in one year, i have used Samsung, Apple, OnePlus as well as Pixel flagships. Currently i am using pixel 7 and buying a Pixel 7 was a worst decision for me I regret not buying a S23 or OnePlus 11 I recommended S23 and OnePlus 11 to some of my frnds n relatives and they are happy and satisfied, even with the newly launched Iqoo neo 7 pro Pixel 7 has great cameras but it's not of use as the device starts lagging after using cameras for just 5 mins in outdoors. And except cameras everything is sort of average or below average. So to conclude, Ranjit sir i respect your opinion as i am following you since last 10 years but please don't recommend or compare Pixel 7 to any device for now as it's totally a bullshit device and it's better to use a 20k device.

I recently bought the Chinese version of this and the vivo x90 as I couldn't decide between them (with the intention of returning one of them). The best thing about the Oneplus 11 was the 5g and WiFi signal strength. It is about 20-30% stronger than the Vivo x90 using the same wifi and sim card (checked using signal strength app). As I have poor cellular signal in my apartment this is very important for me personally. It makes a big difference for not dropping calls and also the consistency Internet speeds when the signal strength is not perfect

@@lostindasauce4171 I can't try the pixel 7 as I live in China where it's not available. My main priority is cameras for a phone. Here is my opinion. Outdoors - I prefer the x90. The colours are more natural (in zeiss mode) and the pictures on the Oneplus tend to be a bit oversharpened with the color temperature being a bit warm. You can just turn down the color temperature a bit in the editing function on the OP11 though and the OP11 has significantly more details if you crop in on photos Indoors - OP11 is better. The vivox90 is overly bright and can't retain as much detail. Both have very little noise but the op11 has better noise control overall indoors. People photos The OP retains more detail with ai switched (but you must swithch off ai or it adds a beauty effect). Indoors people in average lighting peoole photos are much better with the OP11. Portraits too. Far more detail and better skin colours. The x90 tends to be too bright and very soft for human subjects at least in my home anyway. However, outdoors in good light I think Vivos people photos and portraits look good although still a bit soft sometimes if the weather is cloudy (maybe this is on purpose). The x90 is also more likely to give a blurry pic indoors even when it has the same shutter speed as the OP11. It may be that the autofocus is not as reliable Video quality I prefer the x90. It is more natural. I find the op11 to be a bit too high on the sharpening. The x90 also has better lowlight video with much less noise. I think it's the v2 isp is really useful for lowlight video. Stabilisation is about the same at 4k30 but it's better in lowlight on the x90. Ultrawide is definitely better on the OP11. Telephoto is better at 2x on OP11 but better between from 3x-5x on the x90. The Op 11 is pretty good at 5.7x as it switches to high resolution mode and the quality jumps. It uses 4-in-1 pixel binning up to that resolution Personally, i would get the pixel 7 if it was available in China for cameras but it's not. Between the OP11 and Vivox90 i think they are fairly close for cameras photowise with each having different strengths and weaknesses. I think they are both pretty good for the price point Apart from cameras the Oneplus is better. Screenwise i would say similar. The x90 screen goes brighter but there is strong curvature and the resolution is weaker. The OP11 has significantly better speakers and better wifi and cellular signal. Software is up to personal preference

@@Ado-T I'm not familiar with Indian pricing but in China the Vivo x90 pro and Xiaomi 13pro are way more expensive than the Oneplus 11. The Xiaomi 13pro is around 45% more for example so it's difficult to compare phones at different price points. The Vivo x90 pro is also significantly more expensive (around 30-35% more) . Personally if they were all the same price I would choose the s23 as I like the small flat screen but considering the price of that phone in China there is no way I would get it

The Chinese version performs similarly to the other snapdragon 8 gen 2 phones in geekbench once performance mode is enabled (basically the same as the iqoo 11). That's on color OS though. Don't know if Oxygen OS is the same or if there are some changes on the Indian unit

I am a 1+8pro user i experienced a best oxygen OS for a year i think then come colour os. The New user don't know how good oxygen OS before that it has become a benchmark for any OS now their is no difference between oppo and 1+. Just hope nothing Phone can bring back that beauty

I am a hardcore one plus user. I used one plus 7t all these days and was happy about its performance, but broke my display recently. The fixing of the display cost 18k hence I am planning to purchase a new phone altogether. Seeing all the display issues coz of the update, and all the coup going on in one plus should I buy one plus 11 or should I switch to iPhone 13 ? which shall cost me nearly the same price as one plus 11?

Hi sir, Please enable high performance mode on Onplus 11 as normal mode restricts the cortex x3 super core to 2.8gHz. By enabling the high performance mode it will easily cross 1.2 million score on antutu and 4500 multicore on geekbench 6. Thanks :-)
