Oneplus 12 3 Month Review - Underrated?

Battery is way way better than the s24 ultra, way more comfortable to use, performing smoother as well that Samsungs, haptics is amazing.... OP11>S24U

​@@Salty_Biscuitz88i have both. What he said is true! OnePlus 12 is up there with the S23 Ultra in the battery life dept. I was so disappointed that I traded in my s23u to s24u. The battery for the S24 Ultra is so average. Got really excited when I got my OnePlus 12 it's just got better batt life than s24u

So far I'm really liking my OP12 and watch 2. I don't use any launchers as I do with my Pixel 7 Pro, Nova. Battery life and charging power is great. IP 65 dust and water resistant is a downer. A few other things as well but for the price, you can't beat that. Nice review and new sub.

OnePlus is wildly underrated! I don't have the 12 but I do have a OnePlus Open and an OPPO Find X7U so I'm pretty familiar with the software and while I don't like it as much as OneUI it's still a very good software. And honestly I never noticed the search scroll lag until just now. It's present on my Find X7U as well so that's weird. But that aside the software is fine. OneUI is better IMO but probably not enough to justify the cost difference.

Severely underrated. I have an s24 ultra and an iPhone 15 pro max. I bought the 12 to check it out. I find myself using the 12 the most. I love the screen , battery life, fast charging and I actually think the camera is great. The package is I believe the best on the market at a great price

@eddierubio2796 I agree completely even though I don't actually have the OnePlus 12! I do have the OnePlus Open and the OPPO Find X7U so I know both the cameras and the software are good. And when anyone asks me for a recommendation I always tell them the OnePlus 12 is tge best value currently on the market

The xperia 1 vi seems top notch as well. Op12 is very temping may catch one on sale or grab the 13

Thank you for pointing out the problem of the lag when opening chrome! I've been reporting this problem for months now to OnePlus, it happens on every Oxygen OS 14 rom axtually . It also happens with OnePlus Notes app and youtube music

Yup and sometimes even happens on routine and Gmail. They really need to fix this.

I've tried different browsers and the delay wasn't present in Via browser. Maybe change your browser if you're fed up...

I would love OnePlus to do a KZbin video every time they come out with a new phone and go through every test that an ip68 rating would put a phone through to give users the confidence that the phone cane handle it we just aren't going to spend more to get the rating as it would raise the price . Then users could use their phone near the beach or near the pool with the confidence that the phone still performs as though it had an ip68 rating.

Just returned my s24 ultra because of horrible screen compared to s23 ultra and exchanged for op 12!! Screen, battery is unbelievable and camera is just as good! $600 less then s24u

As far as carrier support I'm using my 12 on at&t post paid with full 5G. Granted I had call customer service and add my IMEI to my account. I have a Galaxy S22U and didn't upgrade to the S24U because of the OP12.

What about the distorted blurred and night time issues. I feel like this review doesn't give us the full camera experience. This phone is great but there been tons of issues with the pictures camera.

I will tell you that OnePlus has added new gen animations on OnePlus 12 after update i think u didn't get the update wait some time u will get and i will say that very confidently that that update has the best animation phone

Yes definitely. I’ve got screenshots of super fast speeds when I was within eye visibility of a 5g tower.

What the phone company should do is after the software or security patch years are up offer the customer if they want to pay like $200 more to get like two more years or something like that, watch iPhone or Apple steal my idea already proposal to oneplus let's see who's going to do it first coming back to this post in a couple of years

OnePlus surprisingly has minimal bloatware. Really just their apps.

I have Pixel 7 Pro and it has the same launcher problem. I use Nova launcher and whenever I exit the app to go back to home screen, there is a blank screen. One Plus is actually better because it comes back after 1-2 secs, Pixel 7 Pro doesn’t. I have to swipe up again the restore my main home screen. Such an annoying.

Both are pretty good but I'd give the edge to S23 ultra if we're talking about the selfie camera because the colors look better. For the rear camera they're both really really good.

Just depends on what you want from the phone. Do you care about S pen? Do you like One UI? If you don't care about that then I think the oneplus 12 is a great buy.

​@@livestronger925 I agree. I would add that the OP 12 is only ip 65 dust and water resistant, and the front facing camera is edged to the S23 Ultra. I swapped my sim from my S23U to the OP 12 a few weeks ago and have not missed the S-Pen or One UI 6.1 that much. I also got the OP watch 2. Enjoying both right now. Go for it, try something new! The beauty of Android based phones.
