As for me, had the OP included an IP68 (Which all flagships should have, period), it would have become automatically my choice over the Ultra. But the Ultra will give you 7 gens of Android updates, on system AI, top of the line camera which will only become better with updates, top of the line display (personally do love how Curved displays look but they are definitely not practical, very hard to put a screen protector on, much easier to break than flat, ghost touches, etc), top of the line speakers and also the S-Pen which makes the experience so much better. Obviously, this is a comparison that many KZbin reviewers are making. Still, the OnePlus 12 is really set up to rival Samsung somewhere between the plus and the ultra models. In other words, it has higher specs than the s24 plus but, it's not quite as Stout as the ultra. Of course, the main selling point of the ultra is the stylus pen. If you don't need the s pen then why bother spending the extra money? Especially, since Samsung has given the plus models some much needed upgrades this year. Personally, I would purchase the plus over the ultra. That being said, I decided to pre-order the OnePlus 12. I've been using its predecessor the 11 since last year and I love it. In fact, it's one of the smoothest devices that I've ever owned. I'm really looking forward to the refinements of the 12. As a legally blind low vision user, the added screen brightness is a big selling point to me. I also wanted to point out that OnePlus only remove the alert slider on one oddball T variant a couple of years ago. Once more, they only did it to make room internally for the advanced charging technology. It was never going to be the new standard on any other device. In fact, the OnePlus 10 pro feature the alert slider. In addition, the OnePlus 11 also had it. Simply put, the controversy over the missing alert slider was really much to do about nothing.

@FalconGamers_FG I have been a user of OP since op 3. I will agree that it unleashes power, but I know that after some point, it just gets a bit slower with multiple lags. On the other hand, I have been a user of the S23U since last year, and I can say that with every update, it gets better. Trust me, I am not lying.

Hey Alan, super video, definitely appreciate the depth you went into the phone, thank you. I'm on my 2nd OnePlus phone (8T) and very happy with it. I have been tempted by Samsung especially with it's Ai features but I don't fully trust Samsung as an organisation due to past experiences. So following your video I will stick with the OnePlus mainly for it's software, lifetime updates and charging speed. Thanks again... an I have just subscribed ;)

I think it is because of the glass technology used by the Samsung, it has a matt finish to it
@damnbrosky10 ай бұрын
@@wasdfingers7186 no that is wrong. S24ultra has 900nits brighter screen which is more than half of brightness of s23ultra, and is still 30% darker than s23u. any matt finish cant reduce brightness from 2600nits to lets say 1300 nits. And also if you watching video in 4k hdr you can see that screen can produce same colors and brightness like s23ultra. I have both and I did many tests. All is just software related. Some aps have own brightness forced settings over those in phone. For sure it will be repaired by Samsung or XDA team in future. You just cant have 60% brighter screen which is after all 30% darker from previous generation with just 1700 nits!

I have an OnePlus, I'm getting my S24 Ultra today. I've had my phone for two years and I've ALWAYS had problems. Not impressed. I've always been a Samsung user and my husband and I got into OnePlus because the Samsung we wanted wasn't available and we needed a new phone that day. NEVER again will we go to OnePlus. Its supper buggy, it's slow, it freezes at the worst time, start up takes forever and get ready to do factory reset when your phone stops working, happened twice to me. It's not worth it in all honesty.

It wasn't 5G, and we weren't allowed to upgrade, they're offering $10 for trade in. T-Mobile stopped selling One Plus, I'm sure they've gotten a lot of complaints. I'm going back to Samsung, today actually. This phone worked great for about 6 months, afterwards it was problem after problems.
