The beauty of 1+ isn't in the price or the specs, but it's OxygenOS and dash charge. You get the simple, efficient and streamlined software similar to the legendary iOS, but on Android. Every Android I've tried to use since just feels so clunky and slow... And the dash charge is SIMPLY unbeatable. -Good phone for the price, in my opinion better than the Zenfone 5z that will comeout at the same price or mi 7 that we know little about. -Design is questionable, but for my taste its fine, although zenfone 5 looks better. -Why are people complaining about the notch so much??? There is no other way to get a larger screen without making a phone larger!!! Companies cant put the cameras and sensors under the screen just yet, so deal with it- thats the only option. I would better have a 6.3 inch screen than 5.8 but with no notch. If you hate the notch, that is all right. But even though the Essential phone was the first to implement a notch, there is no way that Apple could've copied it, found the suppliers, and mass produced it for millions in the matter of few months. Every smartphone maker knew that Apple was going for the bezel-less display for over an year before the iPhone X was announced. It takes years to design something like the iPhone X. There was no single shed of proof that Apple has tried to go for an under the screen fingerprint sensor like the rumors pointed out. Ergo, the only logical explanation for housing such a profound state of the art technology called True Depth Camera System that enables Face ID in a tiny space is through a Notch. Also, Motorola Atrix was the first smartphone with a fingerprint sensor, but I have tested it and it barely ever worked after endless times of finger swipe attempts. Apple was the company that started the trend of a fingerprint sensor, and Touch ID became the gold standard in no time. It took almost two years for other manufacturers to catch up, in case you forgot. Also, I don't understand why people have to talk about the iPhone every time they're talking about another phone. Some people should seriously take a look at their insecurities. LOL :D

there is literally no point in wireless charging. it is useless. I have the op5 and I only charge it one hour a day. The wireless charging is too slow, like 4 times slower than the dash charge(fastest charge ever), I would rather stay 10 seconds more to put my phone to charge than to wait 4 hours.

Just got this phone, easy to root, fast, battery lasts hours of screentime, easy buy. Speakers are not as bad as people say, plenty of volume. Screen is also crisp, being 1080p. No regrets. Also battery charges extremely fast.
