GSC-LOL-islem because he turned off the animations on the iPhone, we should see both phones at the maximum speed in that 2nd test. It's also way easier to turn off animations on android as opposed to using a glitch for iPhone so it makes sense to try it.

The animations arent that quick unless if you double the speed in the developer options (don't forget that most of this video is playing at double the speed). I own a OnePlus 5t I really notice the difference when the animations are sped up.

OP only makes phones, they hardly have anything around. Apple has stores all over the world, probably the world's fastest service in addition. They have a built-in payment system, Siri, iCloud, Appstore, lots of retailers for both repair, accessories and service. They have their own operating system that is always optimized and then actually app manufacturers care about their apps on iOS. Far too many apps are badly made for android. Its not fair to compare only manufacturing costs / sales price ratio is a little wrong. Especially when comparing Oneplus and Apple. Apple has been around for a long time and built an offline market that is more expensive than the online market that Oneplus is dealing with. I also think Apple's expenses are higher because the western pay of a developer is higher than in China. When a company has so many indirect costs for a phone like Apple, is it a matter of course that there will be a higher selling price? They have also made more "revolutionary" innovations which obviously cost more. OP makes a good phone for its price. But thats it. Apple has the whole kit, which people are willing to pay for.

Pikminmj9 Just so you know.....no animation on One Plus devices barely adds anything(obviously adds up more vs a device with already longer animations), cuz at that animation speed for an Android device all you're gonna have is a slight stutter/black screen for the most part. It's pretty much the Android device with the least/shortest animations and only devices like the S9s, Note 8, LGs etc with the longest animations on the Android side of things will benefit from that, and I'm sure you've also realised that. Anyways, it is a nice test cuz it mainly shows why completely ignoring animation speed in a speed test is never a great idea, since it ignores about half of the story.....this does also come out after a lot more optimisations have been made for the 845 compared to earlier releases, so at least it has that on it's side to show how good the processor can be.....In the end tho, more animations does give more personality to a device and more Android manufacturers are slowly going there....even Android P does add a bit more animations to complement it's user experience(we aren't running anywhere with those very short ones afterall)

To be honest this Test is crap: 1. The oneplus 6 has also gestures so you dont have to pull Up the bar > ergo, the oneplus is even faster 2. When you Set the Animation to 0 on the iPhone, Then you have to Set Them on the oneplus to 0 3. When you Made the Second round for RAM Management you should wait Till you can use the App. Apples ram Management preloads a Screenshot and reloads the App in a splitsecond in the Background. If you wait Till you use the App the iPhone is way slower.

Test wasn't even close to fair. You disabled animations on the iPhone but not the OnePlus. You also ran the iPhone X with gesture controls (which is the only way) and the OnePlus with software buttons even though you can enable gesture controls in the settings. You even made a mention of that fact in your video and yet chose to ignore it and run it with software buttons anyway. Probably just trying to make the iPhone look better.

You can see the 2nd test with animation glitch on iPhone X. The test starts at the same time and OnePlus 6 is still faster than iPhone X. OnePlus 6 completes the test in 2:50 seconds. But interestingly iPhone X finishes the test much later (20+ sec) but still has lower time :D (that too with that accelerated video on the side of iPhone X). OnePlus 6 still dominates iPhone X with or without glitch :D

I’m an Apple guy but I love seeing android phones kick the iPhones butt. Hopefully it pushes Apple to bring much more efficient quicker software this year to the iPhone. iOS 11 was a joke, the hardware is great as always but the software let down all the new devices that shipped with it this year.

He's a bit too unbiased for an Apple reviewer. Because all Android reviewers have an extreme bias against Apple. But this is also because of the android fanboys. Whenever somebody makes a positive video about iPhone, their video gets massive amounts of dislikes with tons of very hateful comments. That was a really useful speedtest here, but I think it would be fun to compare the iphone 10 without animations with the op6 without animations (under developper options) and with navigation gestures. Also it would be more representative I think to browse a few websites instead of only onening the amazon app.

Well believe me, I have a company Galaxy s8 and a private OnePlus 5 - performance out of the box is one thing, but performance after some weeks or months of use is another and you wouldn't believe how laggy a Galaxy s8 can get compared to actually pretty much out of the box performance on the OnePlus 5. Having had quite a lot Samsung phones (Galaxy s1, Galaxy s2, Galaxy Note 1, Galaxy s4 active, Galaxy S5, Galaxy s6, Galaxy s6 active, Galaxy s8) that seems to be a serious issue with Samsung phones

Even as an iPhone user I’ve got to hand it to oneplus, they made an amazing phone. If Apple wants to catch up they need to add more ram, add a toggle or slider for faster animations and add a feature like Touch ID has like the option to disable press to open but disable slide to open. I’m sure that would help
