Oneplus phones hold their value pretty well. You can sell yours and for +/- $120 you have the latest phone every 6 months. Smartphones feel like a hobby for some.

I have shitty luck with phones. While the Galaxy s7 edge is technically going on 2.5 years old, I had to get a replacement 1 year after buying, and now 1 year from the replacement, the battery life has diminished greatly to the point where some days I'm literally charging it 2x a day. The OnePlus models are much more affordable and the battery life is what's making me think about buying.

Till one plus officially supports updates. Will just change battery. I doubt it'll be Laggy. Cuz i both use redmi note 5 pro and one plus 6,and unless I compare them side by side the difference isn't That noticible that I would say it's a performance breaking. So for me the 845 will last for 2 years atleast. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I switched from an iPhone X to a pixel 2. I had been waiting for the pixel 3 but was super underwhelmed by the 3 so went for the 2. Two weeks later I got the OnePlus 6T and it's awesome. Fingerprint reader is fine, not as fast but considering we used to enter pins or patterns a few years ago it's not exactly laborious. Headphone just doesn't matter to me, I use the dongle it came with or my Bluetooth headphones. Notch is hardly noticeable. Battery life and feel of the phone are amazing. I love this phone.

OxygenOS is really great. I came from a Pixel 2 XL to the OP6T and it's superfast, great multitasking and it feels a lot more reliable than my 2XL. I'm also very happy about the camera, even though it's not the best it takes very nice pictures, even in lower light.

I have the Silk White 6. I don't feel I need the upgrade and I still love my headphone jack. My fiancee, however, needed a new phone in a major way. So I put her on my T-Mobile account and bought her the 6T for Christmas. It took a couple days to get her number ported over to it, so I've played with it much more than she has. It's very nice, indeed. It has that bigger battery so it's thicker, making the camera hump a bit smaller. It's notch is more minimalist and attractive than mine as well. I went to Amazon and got her two more headphone dongles so she can have one permanently connected to her aux cable in her car and one connected to her earbuds. With an extra in case one breaks. I know she's going to enjoy the 6T. Her last phone was crap and my 6 is the second Oneplus phone I've had. They are fantastic products.

For the past 4 years I've relied heavily on my notification lighting. Green for messages. Red for KZbin. Yellow for snapchat. White for general. Pale red for Gmail. Orange for outlook. Sky blue for AccuWeather or Google News. You get the idea. Moreover, most of these apps also have a unique sound. I don't now how people can use a phone without one. It just seems as archaic as a flip-phone. Also this all-glass back trend needs to stop.

I've been using OnePlus for a couple of months now and I don't see anything appealing to upgrade to OnePlus 6T. I think I'll wait for the next year OnePlus flagship which will offer the latest Snapdragon chipset, 5G connectivity, better cameras and real speed bump up. That will be a considerable upgrade with latest chipset. And 5G modem is already giving me goosebumps 😍

Currently rocking out an Essential PH1 I bought for $330CA w 2 cases new. Cant beat its performance and I love its form factor ws 5.7" screen. Build quality better as well imho. I used OP from the original through to the 3T and since then what they have produced to me has been average. The PH1 has been the fastest phone I have ever owned getting updates, Android P and 3 security updates already . Waiting to see what the OP7 brings on and may be then I will return but with 4GB ram and SD835 w 128GB space no need for anything else plus battery life is great.

I upgraded to the 6T from the OnePlus One. I too miss the notification LED plus a few other minor complaints (notch is still silly but you get used to it, not a fan of beveled corners on the screen and no headphone jack sucks), however they're not deal breakers and overall I'm really happy with my purchase. Performance is great and battery life is impressive, can easily make it last 2 days. Fast charge isn't new but damn, it is fast!

I'd recommend OP6 over OP6T. You get notification LED, more reliable fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack and it's cheaper. If a OP6T sells well they'll never bring back the jack btw. Another phone you should look at is Asus Zenfone 5z and maybe LG G7.

@@DomCobb1 Whether smartphones in the future will have a headphone jack or not depends on people's buying choices. So far headphone jack phones are actually winning with the top seller being Samsung, and 2nd one Huawei (they have a few jack-less phones but most of them have a headphone jack). Apple is really the only company that manages to sell a lot of phones without a headphone jack and even their own customers aren't using Bluetooth but putting up with the inconveniences of a dongle, making dongle Apple's best selling product (those little things make Apple a lot of money when bought in such huge numbers, not to mention all the money they get from royalty fees from companies making Lightning accessories).

What's up papito. In regards to the missing led notification flash. I almost returned mine. I stumbled upon a video about this led notification application call LED Blinker the pro version from the play store. I purchased it and now I get all of my notifications without a problem. Trust me it works great. Problem solved. Pass the word around to others.

Honestly the six will do ya good. It's what i have and the 6t is nice for the slightly bigger battery and the new notch. The 6 has a headphone jack still and the fingerprint scanner on the back is honestly probably better just because it's more convenient on the back. Other than that they are the same exact phone pretty much.
