The OnePlus 7T is ready to be taken apart. The back panel of the new OnePlus 7T cracked during my durability test. But the smartphone itself survived. Today we are going to open up the one plus 7T to see what its made of and review the OnePlus 7t from the inside. We will also look around to see how water resistant the OnePlus 7T is.

The circuitry on this phone looks to have conformal coating over areas of exposed solder joints like the resistors and capacitors. Impressive how well OnePlus made this phone to water resistant. If you look at 4:54 you can see on the motherboard theres this layer of clear almost goop over it. Look at 3:50 where the sim card circuit is and you can see more of it. They went well and beyond with this phone at a water resistance stand point. Extremely impressive especially with typically coating boards can be quite an expense.

For those who don't know why some phones (Redmi K20 Pro, this one) are water resistant, but don't have any IP rating: It's because the company would have to pay tens of thousands for the certification. This way they make it cheaper hence cheaper for customers, but still have high quality devices. Xiaomi, One+, Vivo... Chines are future.

I noticed that when I placed my phone over my headphones wire, I started hearing a metronome-like sound. I just got my 7T in the mail yesterday, I'm pretty in love with it so far. The higher refresh rate on the screen makes such a huge difference! I'm actually pretty fond of the Oreo cutout for the camera, I can't really place as to why. Maybe it just reminds me of phones like that one Lumia.

They should have reversed the camera order, so the 7T got the motorised selfie cam and the Pro got the teardrop notch. If it wasn't for that notch, the lower screen resolution and battery capacity, I might have gone for the 7T. As it is I'm happier with *the Note.*

Great Phone, bought one yesterday. Dont like the design of the camera of the back but beside i can't complain, one of the best phone i ever had/have, beutiful 90 hz display, great speakers, very easy to optimize the phone with android 10 with all the New Features and so on... Didn't want to go for the 7 pro because i'm not a fan of pop up cameras as my Xiaomi mi 9 t pro has and zenfone 6 even if its not really a "pop up". totally recommend oneplus 7T.

I like my rooted OnePlus 7t. It's a really good phone for emulators especially when you can control and lock-in the CPU frequency and turn off cores to save battery. Really brings out the best in emulators. Great for movies, music, and editing your resume too.

I like that they separated the SIM card slot from the motherboard. That being on the motherboard of my S8+ cost me $170 to replace the board when the SIM card tab and tray decided to hook together while I was sliding the card out.
