It doesn’t suit the narrative but it does have that dramatic effect. Like Athy wasn’t hanged or executed but still, she met a similar fate. She got killed by her own father who never cared for her after being suspected to have poisoned Jeanette. Later on when it’s revealed that she was in fact innocent, her father (the emperor) was just like: hm? Is that so? Anyway moving on.... he didn’t even care that he wrongly killed his own daughter.

Even until now, I dont understand why people compare Athy and Jennettes life. They both suffered greatly, and just because Athy had nothing doesnt mean Jennette had a good life. Athy was alone almost her entire life, both the people of the empire and her own father ignored her. Jennette on the other hand was loved and was surrounded by people who cherish her but, were their feelings genuine? No. Claude only kept her by his side because she can heal his headaches, Roger just wants to use her to get more power, Ijekiel may care for her, but he only did because he was being forced or raised to be close w her, and don’t get me started w the nobles who only want to get close to her to have more influence. At least Athanasia found true happiness in her 3rd life with Lucas, Claude, Lily, and Felix by her side, but what about Jennette? No one talks about how the “love” she gets is all fake, and in reality, she has no one. I just hope people stops comparing them and understand that BOTH of them suffered a lot. Jennette was only ignorant w everything around her.

Dang y’all ratchet for that. I actually just want them to get along. Jeanette did absolutely nothing wrong(as u guys claimed). And Athy is feeling that way because she has never felt loved in her previous life. But jeneath has also felt strong loneliness aswell. And I know she just a character but telling someone simply just because they exist and may be the living cause of all of Someones problem is wrong. Things happens in a spiral way and every problem has a root hiding behind a shadow. And the root of the problem is hiding behind Jeneath but she is unaware of it thats why I hope they find the root of the problem and end it. I totally forgot about the whole dark magic stuff but if that is the root of that problem then I truly hope that Lucas would end it and everyone live happily. Amarachi Opara that's why I said I didn't mind if she left though. It would be great if they just stayed as friends, but at the same time if she just left the story I wouldn’t be mad either. I don’t care much for her character or how she is used since there’s this feeling about her that’s too kind yet she’s in the way and people are leaving her. Her character is made for us to get angry yet feel bad. (It’s not bad writing I just don’t like seeing it) overall I don’t hate her just wish this ark was over and Claude finally remembers Athy, Then I wouldn’t be so mad. The thing that makes people not care for her either is that she is around at the worse time right now. People are stress when Claude is going to remember Athy. Adding a character who is in the way of that doesn’t help, resulting in us not liking her that much (like I said it’s not bad writing that’s just how some people will feel reading this) so when they add things that make us feel bad for Jenn, I kind of just don’t care since I’m more worried about the huge issue of when is Claude going to remember. Don’t take my words for everyone though I’m just giving you an insight of my thoughts. I’m not right though since it’s just a opinion. However, most of the time usually if someone is being raised by a manipulator and is isolated from the outside world growing up, they typically don't understand how normal relationships work. If they've been used their entire life, like Jeanette, it's would be very difficult for them to discern the situation they're in because it's normalized in their household/circle. So I think it's a bit unfair to compare her Jieun someone who transmigrated from the 21st century who knew what abusive/toxic/manipulative traits and people were, with someone who was born in an era where she didn't have access to the outside world to establish mulitiple relationships outside of her circle.

Jeanette never had that privilege. From Jeanette’s perspective she trusts the people around her, so she wouldn’t question being the emperor’s daughter especially with her blue eyes as proof. Even though Jieun was a “commoner” from the 21st century, every average person from the 21st century learned more advanced arithmetic vastly surpassing the education of nobles who lived in Jeanette’s time. So it’s not a surprise that Jieun is smarter/wiser than Jeanette.

And saying she didn’t have a privilege, but she do have one she was adopted by the Duke a high ranking official of course she have privilege and if you’re gonna say she can’t use it because the Duke wouldn’t let her you’re wrong the Duke often said to people that Jeanette was his niece or blood relative so she was a noble before and if the Duke was lying it would be crossing the laws for adopting someone who’s information are uknown and considering the Duke was greedy he probably change Jeanette’s last name so it wouldn’t be suspicious. Jeanette could use her authority if she really wanted to. And saying she didn’t question having jeweled eyes and jumping into assumptions didn’t she learn history that there were other royals who have jeweled eyes she didn’t even investigate further and also Jieun was just a normal highschool student while Jeanette probably have the best teacher in the Empire and was highly educated and you saying 21st century is more advanced from before even Athy who is also from the future is having a hard time studying so of course even if it was medieval times the educations of nobles are still outstanding and it never mention that Jieun lived in the 21st centuries.

I pitied athy so much. The chapters were going good until I reached the chapter when her father loses his memories. That's when my heart aches because of how she worked hard and then going back to square one again. I don't hate jennette because I clearly understand her situation but it's just heartbreaking to see athy so miserable and hurt. I stopped reading it, but red the novel. I've red there that her father will longed for athy and got heart aches for her so he trapped her in the castle and tried to regain the gap between them. It was pretty much complicated but he wanted her to be with him because of something he doesn't know. His feelings were stirred up and longed for her. He wanted and needed her so he trapped her in the castle and threatened her just like how he threatened athy's mother when she was about to die giving birth that how I realized how much Claude longed for someone's warmth and love.

I love this because jeanette is not intentionally evil, I see a lot of people reading the comments and I disliked jeanette until you realize she has no idea that athy has been through so much, she just wants a family and to be loved, just like athy.
