This song is one of my favorite songs and means so much to me. I'm a 38 year childhood brain cancer survivor. I started this journey in 1984 and have been stable since 1992. I had 4 brain surgeries and 1 relapse. Today I'm going through all the side effects and repercussions but I'm living my life to the fullest...college graduate, wife, mother, and continue to make each day count!

This song is even more meaningful now than when it was originally released. Humanity has endured a lot since then. Natural disasters, war and conflict, a pandemic the likes of which this world hasn't seen in 100 years... This piece of music is a wonderful reminder to not only celebrate our own lives, but also to KEEP living, both for ourselves and for those who didn't make it this far. Phenomenal work on this album, guys. It's been a while since I've been moved to tears by music but you guys know how to hit the right chords every time. Love y'all and stay safe!

This song brings me to tears now. It reminds me so much of my mom. She passed in 2021 unexpectedly and she would say this to me constantly. You never know when youre going to go. I moved almost 2000 miles away from everyone in my family and lord the memories ive made. Went to Red Rocks, climbed mountains, fished rivers and streams i never would have, danced my butt off, had the time of my life with friends that have become family, and LIVED. Mom was the main proponent and was always in my corner. Thanks mom and thank you OneRepublic for the songs that touch every one of our hearts ❤

Man these guys really outdid themselves in this truly beautiful video. If I could dedicate this song to my kids and anyone I’ve loved who never truly understood me, let this message stand long after I’m gone thst I really did try my best to do the right thing, treat people how I want to be treated, and do right by you all and know that in that I only ever wanted you to be happy and truly live. This song not only inspires me to be a better person but to appreciate what I have and what I’ve had to learn along the way. It also is such a beautifully shot video that really touches your soul and tugs at your heart. The One Night in Malibu songs take me back to y’all’s Soccer Hall Of Fame concert I went to with my dad in 2019. You guys flew into Texas for one night with The Fray, both of you being two favorite bands of mine. I was so excited because I grew up listening to y’all’s music with him, and I got to ditch homecoming to see the show. This was my graduation song (my homeschool co-op did slideshows of the grads with their chosen song). I have lived my life with a condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a Type 1 collagen deficiency that causes my bones to be very brittle. Though my type isn’t severe, it’s prevented me from doing things in the past. This song holds so much meaning to me because it’s how I live. OneRepublic will always hold a special place in my heart and life. Thank you for being such an important part in my life.

👍 Heard this today for the 1st time and I’m 70ish. I was amazed by its pertinent lyrics - they seemed to be written to describe MY life! I have literally ‘lived it all’ - tried and done everything (incl. the bad!) I ever wanted and set my mind to, traveled just about the entire world 🌍 with a few exceptions to date (but the ‘missing’, currently 🇺🇸 permitting + safe, countries are arranged during the next 1 1/2 yrs., God willing). Hopefully everyone who reads this will be equally fortunate to have the same opportunity to live, experience, and enjoy 😊 their OWN lives as they wish, and to its fullest without ANY regrets- ☮️ 💟 ✝️

This is my song. I'm married 41yrs, Had a teenage pregnancy at 16 where I adopted her to her biological family. We connected as soon as she turned 18. I have traveled the US out of joy and for family. I've seen all of Washington DC, been in all the great bldg, had a pilot from frontier fly us over the Grand canyon at sunrise, that is the most beautiful place because I was above it seeing all the colors bounce off the canyon walls. I spent winters in Idaho and summer in Florida. And I could go on. But the point for me is when I die I want this song played because I actually lived. I am so grateful for artists like this showing me a new kind of music.

I just heard about someone I knew in College passing away from complications from throat cancer. She fought so hard to kick cancer ass; ultimately, it fought back, and she passed away. This song right now has so much meaning. I hope she lived life to the fullest while here on this earth.
