Appreciate all the work you all have done to get out quality information to help individuals prepare for for swcc/swas/ans etc. I speak from experience. I was apart of development coming out of Minnesota for 6 months before I shipped out in May. Unfortunately was DQ’d for hearing loss caused from mask and snorkel, ironically. I’ll be back once I’m able to cross train. Just wanted to reach out to say thank you for all the awesome information and also say everyone talks about OnesReady in the Air Force

@@vendetta7012 essentially what it is. Long term swimmers ear. Chronic otitis externa. I’m at tech school now and it’s all healed up. Crazy. I wouldn’t be paranoid at all man. Train like it’s the real thing. Suffer now and improve, or suck at suffering during selection.

@@Andrade_USA alright now I’m more confused. There’s no more SWCC. Only SWAS, and all candidates take the single course. The course is designed to take someone with minimum requirements (50 ASVAB and their IFT) and get them to graduation. The ‘prep’ part you’re talking about is handled in block one.

@@OnesReady Poor verbiage on my end,but got my answer if all candidates are attending. Previous to SWAS, I believe all Os trying to cross-train just went straight into phase 2/A&S without such course. Basically had to show up knowing watercon and leaning on their peers to get through.

No more SWCC. It's one course. 3 blocks. If you quit, you're out, and the "wiggle room" that may have been a thing in the past is gone. If you quit- you're out. We hope that proves to be correct. Did that answer your question? - A
