Deep conditioning every week makes a world of difference. I've always thought I had 4c, but as I continue taking better care of my hair and deep conditioning once a week under a hooded dryer, my hair is mostly 4b/4a with some 4c in the front. When your hair is constantly dry and unmanaged, butters and creams are a temporary fix. If you have to moisturize your hair every other day, your hair is dry! Deep conditioning is the only way to truly give your hair the hydration it needs.

Thanks for the best advice ever given. I stick to what work. Every once in a while I use some of the KZbinrs suggestions cause I believe that they work. I can’t get all of the products cause my city doesn’t have a variety of products. They have some but the majority gets bought out quickly.

Great tips. I esp like the tip of not adding oils and stuff to make a deep conditioner work. It sounds like too much work. I don't deep condition overnight cause my hair would get hygral fatigue I only deep condition 2ce a month and I haven't noticed any difference from when I used to do it every week

Great tips and explanation. 😊💯👌🏽🙂 Got my Aphogee 2-step treatment and Green Tea Restructurizer ready for tomorrow. 😊 This month I'm using DevaCurl products (Wash Day Wonder, Delight cleanser & conditioner, Heaven in Hair dc, SuperCream & Ultra Defining Gel), so I'll see if Aphogee and DevaCurl work well together.

All your tips were great but the one I love the most is "DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOUR HAIR", if my hair responses well and loves it, I don't care what no one has to say I'm using it. POINT BLANK PERIOD END OF DISCUSSION.

Doretha McElliott absolutely. No need to have your hair falling out because you doing something you hair doesn’t like.

Heat is definitely key for me, 30mins under my thermal cap is enough for me, i cant be doing overnight conditioning, my hair actually feels dry and sweated out if I do that. But DCing with heat is standard, period!

I’m gonna try heating up my DC and then placing my heating cap on tomorrow. Just feel like being extra. Plus my hair is colored, so I feel I need extra moisture

I almost counted out the Camille Rose pear conditioner. I followed the directions and rinsed out after 5-10 minutes. It was the last use. And for some reason I left it in longer than that and I was like. 😮. Made my hair soooooooo soft. That’s when I realized I was really low porosity. Also the eden body works natural deep conditioner. A lot of ppl don’t like it. I left it in my hair for 2 hours. No heat and my hair was so incredibly soft. I used it previously with heat and rinsed it out after 30 minutes and it felt good. But not as good as the 2 hour deep conditioning session.

Thanks for Sharing! If ppl want a flourishing natural healthy hair they need to take the time to read their ingredient labels. Just like if you want a healthy body, you pay attention to what you put in it. Reading ingredients is how you can study and see what works for your hair. Purchases will be more purposeful cuz you're not wasting your time entertaining foolishness. You are so right with the cleansers. They provide a good basis for the rest of your hair care. If the shampoo doesn't cleanse properly it will reduce the effectiveness of your deep conditioner. You could miss out on a nice conditioner cuz the shampoo chosen tried to do the job of a cleanser and conditioner. im not saying the hair needs to be bone dry cuz thats not effective but having conditioner expectations from cleansers are messing alot of us up.....
