luna is like another version of lit, lit is cheerful traditional but luna is like soft, nostalgic traditional! i like that the song did not have hard hitting beats but use soft drums to emphasise parts like dance break, but stayed true to its origins and not go techno all of a sudden, playing more on the melody and story!! also xion's lines??? omg and the parts switch up too, damn everyone's parts suit them alot, and rawoong dance tgt center? we love! oneus nvr disappoints

The fact that this entire song contains so many traditional elements is so great: traditional imagery in the MV, hanboks, no English in the lyrics and the usage of traditional speech. Even as a non-korean, I felt proud watching this MV. It’s so rare for kpop groups to showcase their historical roots, let alone incorporate it in their songs. The feeling I had listening to the song brings so much emotions-it made me appreciate the diversity of cultures and the beauty of music. Fact: Luna wasn't supposed to be a title track but a part of their Oneus Theatre project instead. The song was too good so Oneus convinced RBW to make it their title song. The director was concerned at first because boy group songs are so powerful right now while Luna is sentimental. Glad they made the right choice ^_^ Keep swimming Tomoons! Let's get another win for Luna and continue to admire its beauty

THIS! This may sound a little harsh, but with their comebacks since RTK, I've felt that RBW had been trying to fit Oneus into whatever the "popular" boy group image is at the time of their comebacks (it felt like this especially with 'No Diggity' especially with some of the sentiments the individual members have expressed). This is not to say that they weren't good comebacks! They do amazing regardless, but I feel that Oneus is the most true to themselves when they go against the flow and do what _they_ want. It's when I think they really stand out and shine the brightest. It's one of the things that is attractive about the group image imo, and 'Luna' is a perfect example of how well it works in their favor. I hope this serves to get RBW to open their eyes and give Oneus more credit in knowing what they want to do. (Sorry if this is a bit rambly or incoherent. I am a bit out of it at the moment lmaooo.)

@@maikee734 Oh, yes, don't get me wrong, it _was_ a good start and I think it definitely gave them a huge step up in popularity! It also skyrocketed their sales. It may even have been necessary for them to do that in order to attain their current level of success with Luna. (Though I do also think 'Luna' could have been successful anyway, given how successful 'Lit' was even without their current popularity.) It's just, I remember 'No Diggity' was split, and specifically the Seoho crop-top thing. He said explicitly several times how uncomfortable he was about it, but that RBW "gave him no choice". That's why I said it felt they were kind of getting forced into concepts they weren't entirely happy with, whereas with Luna, as you mentioned, it's a case where _they_ fought for it. They recognized the potential and it got them their first win!

In a myth, the Epiphyllum(曇花; also named:月下美人) originally was a Flower God. She blooms every day and all four seasons are brilliant. She fell in love with a young boy who weeds for her every day. Later, when the Jade Emperor learned about this, he was furious and wanted to separate the pair. The Jade Emperor relegated the Flower God to a flower that could only bloom for one single moment in her life and prevented her from seeing her lover again. He also sent the young boy to a faraway mountain to become a monk, so that he would forget his loved one. However, the Flower God never forgot the young boy. She knew that he would go up the mountain to collect spring dew every year in the late spring and make tea for the Buddha, so she chose to bloom in the late spring, hoping to see her lover for one more time. Sorrowfully, when spring comes, the graceful flowers bloomed but the young boy didn't recognize her. She was short-lived, only for him. This was the story of a girl that wanted to see the lover that had already forgotten her for one more time. The flower language of 月下美人 conveyed the means of yearning for love and dedicating a lifetime for it.

I'd like to think that leedo with the white hair represents the moon, ravn with red hair represents the blood moon and the rest represent the 'black clouds cover the moonlight'. During the dance break, ravn and leedo always moving in parallel as the moon and blood moon. It makes the dance break way more impressive. Also, during hwanwoong part in 2:46, leedo has limited movement while hwanwoong moving around leedo like the 'black clouds cover the moonlight'. Its just a theory, but it sounds really cool

In my opinion, LUNA might not be as upbeat as what we thought beforehand when they dropped MV teasers (especially the second one), this one honestly still managed to pull a great concept. It really highlighted the vocal and rap line's parts, which complements the choreography even though it did not require so much strength to execute (if you'll compare it to other songs' choreographies), and it provides more space for them to vocalize more when the promotions come. Plus Xion's longer lines this time left me in absolute awe, and that's why we, To Moons must be always patient for him to gain his confidence more so he can deliver his lines with (his) distinctive color as an artist better than in the past years. Edit: I forgot to include that the chord progression is just so amazing throughout the song. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MV IS LITERALLY BEAUTIFUL No, I don't see this concept in this comeback an obsolete one. Along with LIT, LUNA proves that ONEUS has a diverse discography and they don't just stick with one genre chronicle unlike others who just follow the trend (note: I'm not sending hate to artists who are doing that, I know that everyone can still be unique in their own ways regardless). MAN, I LITERALLY LOVE THIS GROUP. EDIT (1): ALMOST CLOSE TO 20M, MOONS! PLEASE KEEP ON STREAMING, SO WE CAN GET ONEUS ANOTHER WIN. GAJA!

So we all confirm Luna has THE BEST chorus in kpop so far. Not a question. It's nothing similar to what I've heard before in a kpop song. It's nostalgic, magical, kinda makes you want to go back in time and immerses you to a whole different world. I'm Monbebe and Engene but gotta admit that this is one of the best kpop music videos of 2021. The MV itself is already aesthetically beautiful but the song is also very nostalgic and melodic. I think it's down to the competition and how many groups there are from "kind of big" companies. No one is ensured attention or success unless you're from the big 4, usually groups get some attention from casual listeners in their debut year and then fade out to relying solely on their fanbase. RBW really isn't that "big" even though mamamoo is one of the top 3rd gen ggs coz most of mamamoo's fandom is casual listeners/gp (especially back in 2019 when oneus debuted) who aren't even guaranteed to support mamamoo's every release, let alone their juniors. I wish they would get more attention, their discography is so amazing. Their fandom is growing with every release though and Blood Moon was a huge success for them so I think they don't have anything to be worried about.

I have a theory that Oneus is going through the 5 stages of grief because of the loss of the child that they protected and loved since Comeback home. Denial - Black Mirror, goes something like we chose to ignore the truth and stuck in a mirror of the past and as if nothing happened. Anger - No Diggity, cursing the one cause of the death of their loved one and getting REAL AGGRESSIVE. Reminiscing about how they could have protected their loved one more and what if it they didn't leave them alone. Bargaining - To Be or Not to Be, this is a bit of a stretch but bear with me. At the beginning of TBONTB, they're reminiscent of the past and asks themselves the what's if's with the title of the song itself. At the end they chose to live but it's actually their loved one is already long dead. Depression - Luna, this is where they miss their loved one especially when the moon is red. It makes them remember all the good things they've been through and wishes that their loved ones can hear their voices longing for them and tell them all things they didn't say when they're still alive. Acceptance - *maybe future comeback *I just came up with this while streaming Luna and watching their MVs again. I don't think that the release date supposed to be the timeline but yeah. Here is my take, feel free to expand on this one or make your own theory.

Commented once but I have more to say: First off, Oneus growth as a group is clear hear that a melodic thoughtful comeback like this can do as well as it has so far. No Diggity and Black Mirror of course were bangers so of course they were set up for success, but Luna is outperforming freaking TBONTB and Come Back Home despite how hard those two songs are. Oneus and ToMoons are growing and that's exciting! Second off, I LOVED Xion having as many lines as he did, his voice has always been amazing and this was the first time I've felt like I could actually appreciate it. I'm rooting for him!

I remember someone writing about the song, that it's a bit "chaotic", but calm at the same time. What made me thinking about the song. Because after listening to it once, I really couldn't decide what to make out of it. It is definitely a grower, though, and I'm enjoying the way the MV compliments the music so much. ONEUS' development feels a bit like a wild card: It's hard to expect what's coming next. And that's something I can appreciate a lot.
