Yonghoon has one of the most emotive voices I've ever heard. You feel whatever he wants you to feel when he sings. And it doesn't help that he writes songs like a man on his 15th divorce that had his heart ripped out of his chest, had it stomped on, put in a blender and thrown out of the window only to get run over by a truck. A few info about ONEWE for people who got here and want to know more about them and stan them~ ONEWE is a self-formed, self-produced kband under Rainbow Bridge (RBW). It consists of 5 members: Yonghoon, main vocalist and leader; Kanghyun, guitarist; Harin, drummer; Dongmyeong, vocalist and keyboardist; Giuk, bassist and rapper. They debuted on May 13 2019, but before signing with RBW they were already together as a band, debuting for the first time in 2015 as MAS0094, known each other since middle school, and putting the band together through the years thanks to fated encounters and passion for music. As said, they are a self-produced band, which means that they write and compose their own songs, having their own style to the point that you can easily tell which member wrote which song almost only by the title! Speaking about the members: - YONGHOON: (00:05) Born on August 17 1994, he is the leader of ONEWE and the main vocalist. He is also one of the main lyricists along with Kanghyun and Giuk. He can play piano and guitar very well, to the point that lately he started playing guitar more officially for MVs as this one! He is a silly goofy guy, very aware of his talent, who loves playing cocky and making people around him laugh. He wrote a few of ONEWE title tracks, like Reminisce About All (ONEWE debuting song), A Book in Memory, Universe_ and this last comeback song! He just completed his military service! - KANGHYUN: (01:35) Born on November 24 1998, he is not the second in order of age (Harin would come before him), but he always comes after Yonghoon in ONEWE formation because he is the former leader of the band when it still was MAS0094. He is the guitarist and one of the main lyricists and composers. He can also play the bass and know the basics of drums. He is the classic introverted, mostly silent and a little shy, but extremely smart and witty at the same time. Since he is a curious person and loves to learn about the universe and planets, a lot of ONEWE songs he wrote are about this topic (to the point that they are part of a “Space Series”), among theme we can name our queen Regulus, but also Parting, COSMOS and Orbit_. He just completed his enlistment period! - HARIN: (00:34) Born on March 29 1998, he is the second oldest of the band and the drummer. Lately, he also started with songwriting (with this new album we got his second song) and he is involved into composition and arrangement for ONEWE songs a lot, with Giuk and Kanghyun. He can also play piano very well, since he studied it when he was little before switching to drums, and he is learning saxophone. He has a very specific vibe, a mix of goofiness, peculiar sense of humor and charm that make him very unique. He is the steady pillar of ONEWE. Even though he is kinda new to songwriting, he already set a very specific style for his song. You can check "Envision_" and "Pleasant" for it! - DONGMYEONG: (00:24) Born on January 10th 2000, he is the happy pill of ONEWE, vocalist and keyboardist of the band, though lately he also started with songwriting (with this new album we got his second song). He can also dance pretty well, joining two survivals before ONEWE debuted (and placed 16th for one of them - the UNIT). He is very energetic, and can be quite loud, but most of the time he is a little introverted and new things can make him a bit shy. He has a very healthy mindset, often fighting toxic social and gender stereotypes (as he stated in the song he wrote, Trigger_). During the time his hyungs enlisted, he made his actor debut in two musicals, "Dream High" and "We Will Rock You" (he got the main role for the latter.) - GIUK: (01:02) Born on January 24th 2000, he is the maknae of ONEWE (he and Dongmyeong are born only two weeks apart but for the - now old - Korean age system, he considers Dongmyeong his hyung anyway), the rapper and bassist of the band. He is currently 6th on the 4th gen KOMCA ranking and reached the 100 songs mark with this new album!! Possibly the one who arranged and produced most of their songs, he also has a personal soundcloud (under the name “giuk2”) with lots of masterpieces and collabs! During his hyungs' enlistment period, he made his solo debut with the album “Psycho Xybernetics: Turn Over” and had also a comeback with “Rise Waves”! He literally couldn’t stop making music! ONEWE are currently promoting their third mini-album: PLANET NINE: ISOTROPY, that adds to their series of PLANET NINE albums after ALTER EGO and VOYAGER. Fandom name is WEVE (born by combining “ONEWE” and “MOVE” to indicate that we move together with ONEWE and move each other emotionally. We share our anniversary date with ONEWE since it was their gift for us on their first anniversary, May 13 2020. Band and fandom are also tightly linked by their name, and together we are called ONEWEVE! I was just so happy for them to be back together as 5 and listening to a new Onewe song that I couldn't stop smiling during the mv premier. It was only after a couple more plays, when I truly focused on watching the mv and internalized the lyrics, that the full weight of the emotions hit me. You bet tears were involved.
