Onewheel GT S-Series Full Range Test

This is the first in a series of range tests covering the Onewheel GT S-Series, The Floatwheel ADV Pro, and my own custom VESC one wheel build using a Superflux on the XR frame (called the Galleon, for fun).
The details of the test conditions are described in the video, but the are as follows:
Battery charged to full, which is 1 hour after the green light, and full battery confirmed in the app.
Tire pressure @ 14psi
Rider weight with gear is 195lbs/88.5kg
55F/12.7C ambient tempertature
~20mph riding speed
Moderate crosswind/headwind
The next video in the series will cover the same range test done on the Floatwheel ADV Pro.

Thanks Mario! 40% less torque than the Floatwheel ADV. 40% less power output than the FW ADV. Twice the $1800 price of the FW after tax & shipping. It's an INFERIOR product in every way except that it looks pretty. Thanks for sharing the truth, straight up instead of covering for FM like most of the community is doing.

I know it's not new news but I always love your in depth analysis of all things OneWheel related. I am curious as to your thoughts on the OneWheel GT performance treaded tire as compared to your preferred soft compound tires such as the D10a.

I'm getting a float wheel adv, bad ass...as long as Tony can keep them better than one wheels and under 2000. Hell eat at them till he has 60% of market share!!! A better board that you are allowed to work on, upgrade and for almost half the price....hell yeah float wheel kicks ass

I got 54km today on my ADV riding both street and trails

I’m 225lbs was about 45-50 degrees, windy. Mostly flat with a few short steep hills to test its climbing ability. I got 16 miles before it went into haptic buzz and stop riding.

I can't justify $3200 for the GT-S when I have 4 modded XRs and a lil focer just waiting to restore my weakest XR. It will only turn on if plugged in for 5 minutes... usually, but not always so might as well VESC it!

It’s definitely overpriced for that price you can a euc like king song s22 with way more range way more speed and torque along with a larger diameter tire with suspension

14.4 miles stinks! That is pretty bad. I ride a GT, thinking of upgrading but, trying to get a sound picture of the distance I can expect and for sure, I watch videos of one guy gets 20 miles, another 15, 14.4...now I do get the factors...wind, speed, elevation...body weight, temperature...but man, thats horrible test distance. I think 19/20 is the most I ever got on my GT with just street riding. Im so torn...Thanks for the video.

I don’t think that’s something I can manage, unfortunately. I can ride the GTS to pushback and beyond, but I’m not comfortable riding the boards until they drop me, especially not successively. I’m working on some test equipment to be able to test that, but it may not be done until the spring.

I wasn’t thinking about riding until you really nosedive, but more what’s the max speed without being in danger. I guess it’s way higher on a gts than a gt or stock XR and hopefully even faster on a Vesc or floatwheel, but I’d love to see if from someone who doesn’t have any interest in those companies.
