Heads up the front sensor is only to sense if you're on it or not so it knows when to engage and when to disengage, it doesn't have the ability to turn itself. The turning comes from you physically rolling the board onto the rounded edges of the tire, either toe side or heel side.
@stevantures4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nico I appreciate the feedback. I am keeping it simple here for very first timers. When pressure is applied to the toes and heels of the board, the user is physically rolling the board onto the rounded edges of the tire. Focusing on big turns here until they get comfortable. Thanks again.

Another word of advice from a fellow onewheeler is that it takes a moment for the motor to engage when you first get on the onewheel. Most people won't really notice it but sometimes people will try to lean forward an accelerate before it engages and they will just walk it off wondering why it didn't accelerate

Great job Steve. Looks like a lot of fun. Is the wheel inflated with air? Do you have to be concerned with flat tires? Keep the content flowing bro. It's great.
@stevantures4 жыл бұрын
Great question and I can't believe I forgot to mention the tire. I haven't had any flats but I do try to avoid sharp objects when I see them as it's very responsive and maneuverable. It's comes filled with air at 20 psi and you don't want to exceed that as it could damage the onewheel and void it's warranty. You can run at a lower psi but you get more range and control at 20 psi in my opinion. Thanks for the great question.
@johnthompson81902 жыл бұрын
My One Wheel GT had 20psi when it arrived but I lowered the air pressure down to 15 psi and it made it way more stable! I weigh 148 lbs and stand 5'6

Any specific reasons why you got the pint instead of the xr? Looking to buy so still deciding
@stevantures4 жыл бұрын
Well price the price difference between the two was the first reason. Another big factor was the range I needed and the Pint met that for me. It gives you a range of 6 to 8 miles while the XR gives you 12 to 18 mile range. I only planned on cruising the the store, work and joy riding around on pavement. Also the XR is ready to go off roading and I did not plan on that either as I like my mountain bike for that.

What do you think of the Pint X opposed to the GT? The Pint X isn't a whole lot smaller but it's a more attractive option to carry around as opposed to the GT which is bulky and aggressive. Also the Pint X from what I heard has a tighter turn radius. I'm looking at both, but I made a mistake buying a large electric vehicle before and it looked overdramatic and surprised people a bit when going down the greenway. Just looking for something that can travel over gravel and pavement and I can carry into the office without too many stares.

Hey, great video. Just watched all 5 of your videos on the pint. Been fighting myself since February of last year when i saw an add for these. I want one so bad but I keep backing off cause I don't know if I want to spend that kind of money (with all the upgrades I'd want upfront. Would end up costing me close to $1600 for a pint, if not more, which is basically a base XR. But your videos jsut make it see so worth it. So my 2 questions are: for someone who has never once done any kind of board sports, is the pint worth it and easy to learn? I'd mainly use it for fun to ride around the neighborhood and maybe when I'm feeling stressed and want a release. But also, are there any upgrades you 100% recommend up front that you have and others that you think you can wait on? I'm looking at getting all your accessories, but also getting the maghandle pro and the ultra charger that comes from Future Motion. Thanks again. And great content!!
@stevantures3 жыл бұрын
HI cdsport13 and thanks for the great feedback. I believe the Pint has a very easy learning curve but everyone learns at their own pace. If you've never once done any board sports it might take you a bit longer to get comfortable on it and I believe you would pick it up. Take your time with it and remember to get all the safety equipment you will need including helmet, elbow/knee pads, hand protection and a nice open/smooth parking lot. Also be aware of the PUSH BACK feature and how to recognize it. Do not overpower that motor or it will launch you into the pavement. If you are just using the Pint around your neighborhood I'd say it's the right buy as you only get about 8 miles of range. If you need or want more range for longer adventures than definitely look into the Onewheel XR as it provides you up to 18 miles of range. The only upgrade I'd recommend at first is the Kush Nug Hi foot pad for the rear foot. It will make the ride much more comfortable and keep your feet happy. I would hold off on the Ultra charger at first and see if you really need that. The stock maghandle it comes with is just fine for starters so I'd say save your money there too. The Pint is still a lot of fun without all the upgrades! Thanks again for the feedback and I hope this was helpful in your decision making.
