also have flat feet - FP insoles (gamechangers) in a good skate shoe helps a lot with foot fatigue. I also have soft footpads and 2mm foam griptape up front. I pretty much don't get any fatigue anymore - worst I get is needing to flex my feet around when riding a little and kind of put pressure on the outside of my feet - after a short bit it goes away though.

I’ve had the XRc in my cart for a few days now but I still haven’t pulled the trigger on it. I have an XR with a bad controller and a GT. Whenever I ride the GT I miss my XR aside from the range and power. It just simply doesn’t feel as nimble or as technical how it responds to input compared to how the XR did. I really like that the XRc has a 6 inch hub, option for recurve rails, and has a lower center of gravity. If I kept the GT I’d want to do a GTV kit, 6 inch hub, and aftermarket rails. So the amount of money I’d spent on that is also about the difference in the cost of a new XRc, with selling my GT, compared to doing those upgrades on my GT. I plan on doing a vesc build in the future but it’s not something I’ve really considered a ton since I got the GT and have a working board again. Although the fact that every time I get on the GT me missing the XR has me thinking about it. That’s why I’m so drawn to the XRc as it seems to have what I’m missing in my GT. I rarely ride the GT till it’s dead. More so I finish my rides around 30-50% which is a good thing because then I’m never in the unpredictable battery %s. I noticed you said it kinda still feels like a GT. Do you think if I get the XRc expecting it to be a lot more nimble and more responsive for technical trail riding like the XR was, that I’ll be disappointed with the XRc like I am with the GT or do you think it’s worth it? I do want to have 2 works boards again at some point (whether keeping the GT or getting an XRc and selling the GT and then later on building my XR w a vesc setup)
@fixmypev2 ай бұрын
If you don't mind the decrease in range, I think it's possible you could be happy with the XRC. But... If repairability and upgradeability are important to you, I'd probably lean toward some sort of VESC build. That said, I'd recommend researching the heck out of the various options out there in order to find what checks as many of your boxes as possible. ☑️

I wouldn’t say that, but it’s definitely got pushback. I haven’t felt pushback in so long (been riding the GTS and a ReWheeled GT for years) so it was probably just the shock of being reminded of what pushback actually feels like. @fixmypev2 ай бұрын
It’s ultimately up to you (based on your unique desires from a board), but here are my takeaways: If you want range and don’t care about the ride height of the GT or the 6.5” tire, get a GT. Which you can always change the hub and rails on if you want to (more money). The GT can also be ReWheeled to unlock additional functionality. If you want an XR form factor with modern internals, a 6” hub, and a bit less range, get the XR Classic. But… If you want full freedom, get a VESC-based board.
