I still remember maybe arround 2008 or 2009 when Lee Soo Man said that he liked to put main vocalists on the KPOP group with the high tone powerful vocals and unique high tone vocals. For SNSD Taeyeon's the one with powerful vocal while Jessica has the unique tune.. and for Shinee Jonghyun has the powerful vocals while Onew has the unique tune.. Sooman said those who have unique tune with high tone will make the groups colorful because when they sing.. everyone knows whose voice is that.. I really miss the old days when Soo Man was still the CEO. He brought himself little Jessica, Shinee Minho, and Luhan to the company without audition.. He always knows really well those who are born with pure talent..

FYI, SM Ent. under Kim Young Min also has not limited Jess' brand and existence anymore since beginning 2017.. most of SM artists such as Red Velvet, FX, Jenifer Kim wear Jess' clothe brand Blanc and Eclare. Exo Suho was once spotted wore sunglasses made of Blanc and Eclare. The only SM group which has never seen to wear Jess' brand is only SNSD.

Yes and no. Onew also has a powerful voice. Actually has the most powerful voice in the group. He doesn't even have to belt for his voice to be heard above the others. His version of Nessun Dorma wouldn't be as praised if he couldn't deliver it with power. But Jjong has the highest range and were able to hit those notes with definite punch. The difference between their power is the type of sound they produce. Onew has a rounder sound, while Jonghyun's sound is sharper.

Forever grateful for this video that made me a Shawol. Knowing nothing about KPop, I was watching the drama The Descendants of the Sun. While doing a quick background checking of the actors, I was curious how that Onew guy - the sole singer of the cast - would sound. So, I just typed his name and the drama title on yt, and this video came up. I'm not even kidding, I was shocked by his voice by the first 2 lines. Don't have any idea how many times I listened to the song, mesmerized by his beautiful singing and unique aura, without knowing a single thing about him. Then I learnt that he was the leader of an even more amazing KPop group called SHINee. They have become one of the greatest source of joy and comfort for me ever since I discovered them. I'm so grateful to Lee Jinki to have led me to their most beautiful universe. And I am so proud to call myself a Shawol ❤️
