Good to see a review of Tigerair whom I`ve never flown with. Thanks for the insight Jayden. Nothing special, but looks okay if the price is right. The biggest complaint about them in the past has been last-minute cancellation of flights, and passengers being left stranded, but I don`t think this is happening these days.

Thanks Pierre! Yeah they messed up their international operations very badly too that they're flying within Australia only now. I believe Qantas has the highest cancellation rates now because they're usually able to put people on the next flight.

My last flight with tiger air I did not know when I found out they were closed I was really sad :( and also I saw some old tiger air planes last time I was in Melbourne I was like to my parents why are there so much tiger air planes their and my parents said they were shut I was real sad but life goes on sucks that they shut to the plane was really roaring like a tiger.

yep Tiger has the least legroom out of the 4 major Australian carriers (QF, VA, Jetstar and Tiger) and Jetstar surprising has the most! Gold coast was beautiful as usual although a bit smokey😍thanks Mike!!

Jetstar in NZ domestic recently changed the seats to “skinny model” and reduced the seat pitch to like 28” I think. Thank God the longest flight time is only 1h20mins Chc to Auk. Or visa versa. Very narrow. Great videos Jayden :) keep it going.

Have you flown on the refurbished 737s? The seats are incredible, table holders, head rests, decent legroom. I genuinely prefer to fly them coast to coast rather than QF and VA (except for their 330’s). Even tiger service I’ve found to be exceptional lately!

was gonna have a holiday in the Gold Coast but something came up and I had to go to MEL, last minute trip that I booked just the night before🥵I don't do carbon offset because it doesn't actually cut down the emissions. Honestly find it funny how, virgin Australia was once a budget airline itself as virgin blue less than 20 years ago and now (or a couple of years at least) they started their own budget airline

I was so lucky that I booked with Tiger that day and the flight left on time. Jetstar had a system outage that day, so many delays and cancellations. Their OOL MEL got cancelled😱thanks for watching Luke :D

Jayden thank you so much for the trip report. Tiger looked so lovely. You didn’t visit the bathrooms!!! I’m always eager to see the coat hook to determine if my 3/4 Trench would be suitably accommodated. The First Class cabin on Tiger, do you know what champagne is served and do you know what canapés are served before the meal? Also in Melbourne, the Tiger arrivals lounge, are there showers to freshen up and does their menu change from Breakfast to Lunch and Dinner to match the time of day you arrive? Jayden I was concerned about all the coughing onboard the craft.......were you scared? Finally, did the Tiger Airlines hostesses address each guest by name and were you offered a complimentary cocktail to go with the cookie thing?

Hi Jayden (aka OWF) I enjoyed your vlog, as usual. I am glad you enjoyed your Tiger Sur flight. My last trip with them, several years ago now, Sydney to Melbourne return, was horrible. It was late leaving Sydney, as it was late arriving from Melbourne. The cabin was dirty and I know what you mean about the leg space. We were on the Skybus heading to Tullamarine for the last flight out that day, and I glanced at my phone, only to lean that our flight had been cancelled, and Tiger were unable to help us. We ended up staying a night at the hotel at Tullamarine and had to book a flight, though we did it with Virgin, which was infinitely better. Will never fly Tiger again. Their Kate departure from Sydney almost made us miss a particular movie we wanted to see at the ACMI, for which we were ticketed. For an LCC, I think Jetstar is the better option, at least domestically.

Tiger does have a bad record of delays and cancellations but it's improving (and that's why I finally took a flight with them!). Recently, I learnt how Tiger messed up their international operations in uni and it's nothing but stupid and funny. Thanks very much for watching!!

I’ve always found a320s much roomier and comfortable than 737s. This is more obvious in Australian domestic flights when you have bulky Aussies filling up the planes. Tiger air staff are always friendly. Sad most of these were probably laid off when virgin axed the tiger air brand.

Interesting to see that each Tigerair branches have its own crew uniforms. I used to be onboard Tigerair Mandala, Indonesia's now-defunct subsidiary of Tigerair and the crew uniforms were 100% different. Tbh I don't like the seat design. It's too mainstream and too dull. Nevertheless, nice as always!

it really depends on the airport. Cathay always have uniformed staff at every airport (but their staff aren't necessarily employed by Cathay, but a third party company instead, Cathay obviously made those staff that don't belong to them to wear their uniform). thanks for watching!

yes OOL is a great place to visit, it has the potential for many more international flights but the airport won't let that happen! I can get 25 delicious cookies in woolies for $3.50😂

tigerair, cheap and cheerful (or not???). Jetstar is more expensive and Virgin and Qantas are priced 2 to 3 times more expensive. unfortunately where I stay, Tiger Air has cut back their scheduled flights (to one of my destination) from twice a day to mere one a day. A bit of inflexible to travel more often on Tiger Air.

tigerair.. usually cheap cheap. but expensive for me because of last minute booking haha. Thankfully I travel internationally a lot so the domestic flights with Qantas and Virgin usually are free :D

Tigerair Australia really seems like a decent LCC to fly with. I used to fly Tigerair Singapore all the time when I travel back a few years ago. Unfortunately , they merged with Scoot and now it’s gone :(( great job anyways :)
