In this podcast, we will explain why India is the spiritual heart of the world. India is famous for being a large exporter of spices, tea, coffee, gems, jewelry, and vaccines. But its greatest gift to the world, and the one Indians are most proud of, is spirituality, beginning with Sanatana Dharma. For centuries, India has been invaded and oppressed, and yet, their Dharmic culture and spirituality has survived intact and are beginning to have a positive influence on the world. For thousands of years, many civilizations have come and gone, but India is still standing, making it the longest enduring civilization in the world and this is all due to the spirituality that binds the people in a deeper understanding of not only the world, but also ourselves on an individual level.

Very valid points discussed. Amazed how deep your knowledge is on eastern traditions. I think main difference between all dharmic traditions & abrahamic ones is that they are based on seeking & not belief based & offer methods to actually realize the truth first hand instead. Another valid point you raised I think the education system in India has long been distorted where it had been devised in such a way so as to bring adoration for marxist or capitalist ideals and create hatred for dharma. History is written by communists in India to cater to their intellectual control of discourses. I think both of you are doing such a wonderful job by spreading dharma. As Dalai Lama puts it that the problems of world will not be solved by praying but by understanding the mind, consciousness, consequences of actions etc which is the central theme of Hindusim, Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism.

Well said brother. If only more people in India are aware like yourself of what is slowly happening to the Dharmic traditions. I actually think there will be a revival one day and hopefully there will be a restructuring of the educational system in India to reflect their own culture.

Thanks for all the love Jason and Gayoung 🙏😍 I used to hate India while growing up here. I looked at other countries and was jealous of why I wasn't born there, the developed countries look so nice and have so many nice things. Living 10 years abroad in developed nations completely disillusioned me from the reality of living in those countries. I came back 4 years ago and discovered a newfound love for India and a path to spirituality all of which I grew up with. The culture and people I loved were right in front of me and I never appreciated them until much later. You're so right, modern Indians look to western ideals and forge their identity around them. That was me once. But my love for India and Dharmic traditions grows more and more every day. Thanks again for sharing your positive experiences, hope to see you both here someday!

Wow! What an absolutely amazing comment Gautam. Thank you for sharing. I hear you my friend. Imagined being raised in a developed country your whole life and then going to India as a young adult. Well, that was me. Once I touched down on sacred land, there was no turning back for me brother. For yourself, sometimes you have to have a taste of what else is out there to realize how fortunate you are to be Indian.

Very interesting Jason. I've always been fascinated with the History of culture. I always wondered how India managed to hold on to their culture and spirtuality despite conquest over their country. This is information you would never see on the television. Thanks Brother and MeYoung. Very educational.

Absolutely great content as always. Loved the perspective on renunciation. Many of us including several westerners have settled down in Tiruvannamalai not because we have renounced but we feel liberated from the rat race of money, status and power. Sanatana Dharma will be ever present just goes through up and down like everything in life. Thanks again. Please come to Tiruvannamalai soon.

Jason Brother, I must thank you for such a wonderful and insightful talk. Both Gayoung and you have experienced and hence have great insights India and India's Sanatan civilisation. Like you, Jason brother, I am of the same opinion that Dharama is at the start of another renaissance especially helped by the rise of social media where we are not depenedent on mainstream media. Now people like you can share your first hand experience with Sanatana Dharama. Born in a Hindu family I was already an atheist at the age of 12-13. I looked down upon the traditions of sanatan dharma. But it has changed in last few years. I have been living in UK and Germany since 16 years now and in last few years, i have started to know more and more about Sanatan Dharma and it's amazing gift to human civilisation. I have read Geeta and Upanishada translated by eknath easwaran but I am only at the surface and trying to go deeper. Listening to you, I get so inspired and confident. Dhanyawad and Thank you.

It's a bit sad the current education system in India is just westernizing every young Indian. And been gone thru it myself is hurts to is see, little to no importance is given to Dharmic ways of life. It's just looked upon as another religion and kept aside in the name of secularism. Altho I am still hopeful Sanatana Dharma will survive like it always did. Awesome conversation guys, keep it up.
@JasonGregoryAuthor
@JasonGregoryAuthor 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you my friend. Sanatana Dharma will always survive. You've definitely come out alive from that sort of education, which is really hopefully for others. I feel the Dharmic tradition needs to be part of education in India, especially since it is the culture of India and India doesn't need to apply Western ideologies to itself.

I love listening to your podcast. You always bring up points I have observed in daily life too. Like the point that we are living in a society where people who scream louder get more attention and and are seen as knowledgeable. Working in an office I have observed this over and over again. Therefore, the ones with lack of consciousness will get frustrated over time because they are not being heard.
