You think the hitbox after the boss is dead is bad? Try the boss trigger still being there when you backtrack to the area. I walked back way later in the game and it triggered the boss. I beat it again and all my progress was lost because everything in the game reset to the state it should be when you beat the boss.

Garchomp Chump eh, I was like 4 or 5 when I played it and with both those games I just have fond childhood memories of playing them, but I have replayed them and it doesn't just feel like I'm looking at the past with rose tinted glasses, because I still think they are as good as I remember when I play them

The concept of this game was awesome; Crash teaming up with Cortex and all his original foes to defeat a new enemy is great. Exploring Cortex's lab in more a leisurely style. The addition of Nina is actually enjoyable. They could have actually expanded on some of the original bosses characters and arcs, like Tiny the Tiger and Ripper Roo being experiments of Cortex as well. They could have added the backstory to why Tawna left after the first game, because it was stated somewhere she left Crash for Pinstripe. They could have used Coco more. If polished, this could have been a fantastic game. It had the chance to add some depth to these characters due to this unique situation and appeal to fans by bringing favorites back. It's the only Crash out of the most recent (PS2) era that I have some respect for because there was a LOT of potential. But time restraints really blew it.

Naughty Dog only ever signed on with Universal to do 3 games featuring our beloved good boy Crash, so the fact that CTR exists probably points toward Naughty Dog not necessarily being bored with Crash, but wanting to flex and try more with him. Stupid fucking contracts took Crash from his parents and made him dumb.

Actually, interesting fact. Naughty Dog had signed up to make a three game partnership with Universal, so they made three Crash games allowing for some spinoffs like CNK and Crash Bash, but after the three deal partnership/lease had finished, Universal Interactive retained the rights of Crash Bandicoot. Then it went to Vivendi when UI went under. Then Vivendi got bought out by Activision, and here we are.

Crash was never sold. He was always owned by Universal Studios, Sony only had rights to publish the games. After Naughty Dog's contact expired, and Crash Bash came out, Universal went to Traveler's Tales and Konami.

From what I understand, they sold crash RIGHT AWAY. universal funded the first 3-4 games, in exchange for the IP. So once naughtydog got done with Crash 3, their rights to use him were up (But don't hold me to it, I might remember wrong)

Crash wasn't sold. Sony made an exclusive deal with (pretty much 'bought') Naughty Dog, but Universal owned the rights to Crash, not Naughty Dog, which is why they had to lose the license. The license has just been jumping from dev to dev and publisher to publisher ever since.

Naughty Dog never sold Crash. ND and Insomniac never owned Crash or Spyro. By their contracts with Universal, both IPs belonged to Universal. As I recall they had deals to produce a specific number of games, and all IPs would belong to Universal. Hence why, under Universal, both studios worked only on a single IP. Naughty Dog and Insomniac left, their powerhouse IPs left in the less-than-capable hands of a publisher that would go on to force unfinished products like Enter the Dragonfly and Twinsanity onto store shelves. And those IPs never left. Universal was acquired by Vivendi Games, which in turn merged with Activision in 2008.
