My favorite pinball game is Pokemon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire and you CAN hit the side of it to shake the machine like in real pinball. Speed runners use it all the time, I'm not sure if Lyle would find it as fun as I do though.

Pokemon Pinball R&S is one of the greatest of all time! They also have that Pikachu/Pichu mechanic to make those instant-lose sides return the ball for you! It was a good idea that was well implemented.

Pokemon pinball was great. Also as is expected with Cory's takes, that Mario GBA pinball is pretty terrible. One of the worst pinball spin off games ever. Metroid, Kirby, even Sonic got better pinball games.

I gotta agree with Chris on the fall damage thing. Spiderman moves around mostly by swinging, which involves not touching the ground whereas Sonic constantly has using running on the ground and any time you're off the ground it's only jumping to inevitably land on ground again. It's the same reason you don't have fall damage in something like Hulk Ultimate Destruction or Mario (outside 64). They don't fly or swing around (mostly) so you're expected to be landing from large heights and you can't get around quickly without being on the ground.

@@lolshark33 I was referring to the fact that he said "why would you have holes that immediately lead to you losing" when in pinball there are numerous time you want to sink your ball to release a multi-ball or trigger the high combo (like what happened in the video when Chris hit the empty slot and made like 124k points I want to say) The problem I have with Corey is he criticizes all these mechanics in things without asking "why are they like this" instead assuming "they are just stupid for making this"

Corey should play Sonic Spinball, I think he might actually like it. That stuff about "you should be able to see Sonic's hands on the pinball machine"? That happens in Spinball's bonus stages. You can even shake the pinball machine in those bonus stages by pressing A, B, and C at the same time. Plus, there are barely any of those moments where the ball goes down the death hole and there's nothing you can do to stop yourself from dying.
