No, every single quest in the game results in different dialogues down the line, which is why when NPCs are involved in multiple quests you can't progress until you finish one of them, the result of the quest will determine dialogues and involvement. For example finishing any Sumeru quests before or after the Archon quest ending results in completely different lore. All the big quest chains like Aranara and Tsurumi Island also results in different stuff, in fact Tsurumi Island and Aranara has different dialogues depending on whether you have met Ruu through the quest.

Nah... It started way long ago, for example in Inazuma when we decide to leave or fight the Fatui spies (whether or not to start a fight), in Sumeru when we decide to spare or kill the "bad guy" at the end of Aranara Quest (whether or not to start a fight and different locations of Quest Item), and in Fontaine at the end of Leroy Quest (different cutscenes and locations of Quest Item). Not to mention the dozens of Daily Commissions that differs depending on your choice. Branching choices is a very fundamental part of programming, it's just that this is the first time they used it in an Archon Quest and they executed the NPCs well

This quest was insane. There is also so much info hidden on the map. Like how Capitano ditches his brigade to go in solo literally darting across Natlan. Dude is a menace. Also by the way at 4:26 if you tell the Lady the Fatui can escort you. You send *all of them* to die. That small band of brothers along with the lady. The road they had to take went through the core of abyssal corruption. Which you can check after you clear the pylons at the meeting point. The zone they were at will say *No life can exist here* I got so sad when i realised this in my playthrough....

A little bit of correction btw. * Raman the courier will survived if you choose "A Surviving Courier's Missive" rather then "Under Siege" in previous choice. * Achiyaku will survived if you choose "Under Siege" rather than "A Surviving Courier's Missive" in previous choice. * More civilians will survived in "Endless Echoes" if you choose "Echoes Through the Valley" rather than "Key Supply Rescue" in previous choice.

If battle time affect the survived civilian, then maybe it's good to lower your AR world first before doing Archon Quest for easier enemies... . And my theory, maybe the best route to pick is: - South (Under Siege): Mayahuel, Uturunku - South (Key Supply Resque): Awhina - North (Survivor Search and Resque - North): Osawe, Iyoba What i mean best is we can safe the most NPC with name/can interact with us (so the died/sacrificed NPC with name are Raman and Diligent Yumkasaur)...

So, my route is: 1. Under Siege. (Meet Uturunku for 1st time, motivate him to survive, and pick top choice). 2. Echoes Through the Valley. (Save doctor in hidden/extra objective). 3. Key Site Defense. (I only got this when selecting 1 & 2) (Meet Uturunku again, pick top choice to make him survive) 4. (After the Cutscene 01 in stadium ends) This time, I Pick South 1st (save civilian and some saurian) because I see 2 icons of people standing there, to make sure the chance to survive is higher than the North (no icon of people standing guard in there when I pick 1 & 2). 5. After done talk to the courier in the stadium, you only given one mission "Ferocious Beasts Unleashed", do it. 6. From this point if you didn't choose North for the 1st time at step number 4, you can access Rescue Suvivor: North, do it and... you will see the rest of people here. 7. Pick your only Quest "Endless Echoes". 8. Pick your only Quest "Flower of Darkness". 9. Pick your only Quest "Finality Forthcoming". 10. Pick your only Quest "Evac Team Rendezvous". -Continue until the end. ->*Update: With this route: Saved doctor 1/2 The main route here from my perspective play is 1-6, whatever route you take there is some loss in war. That's why your choice matter in a war/ life. Damn, hoyo-genshin team cooked the scenario this time.

It should be noted that 5:46 is dependent on choosing 2:04's location, and not dependent on your choice of North or South at 5:11. 5:46 is affected by Surging Darkness's choices (prior to the big Abyss ball in the sky), while the choice you make at 5:11 is contained within Despair Engulfs the Heavens.

I barely talked to anyone besides couriers, and my only decision is to not go to areas with fatui because I thought they could handle it. I got my ass beat with a lore accurate team in the first one and quickly switched to hyperbloom, then realized I need to pull out the big guns like neuvifuri with Layla to freeze….i got 2k deaths, just speedrunning so not as bad I thought it was gonna be. I just wanted it to end because I felt the darkness is really gonna take over. I missed the doctor, the mom, the baby Saurian etc.

I saved the doctor, the civilians held up underneath the scions of the canopy, and a lone saurian, plus the mother and child the fatui protected. Last but not least, I motivated Uturunuku. I'm proud that I saved a lot of the people, even though it seems I missed out on others. It's really interesting how it really boils down to war being decisions that you can't posibly know if it would lead to less or more casualties, even going for what seems like a positive outcome might lead to tragedy.

Actually, if you save the doctor, the messenger and the supply person, the death toll will be less. The speed of finishing the missions also influences the death toll. I heard that a player was AFK for hours during the missions, and when he came back, the death toll had reached 40000.🥲

There are regrets associated with every choice there. Except sending the supplier with medicine to hot springs - that was clearly my mistake. But in more practical terms, we had no way to know the outcome of most of our choices. So the only reasonable way, is to choose based on your heart.

Else this baby will be with the 3 npcs further down at 7:10 before you go into the 6 heros cutscene. - 7:20 rescuing both doctor & supplier has the most death??? lol

The problem with the Awhina option is that it implies she's going to try to do it alone if you don't talk to her, and she is surprised the Fatui will help her. You would not guess that discouraging her she'd actually listen to.

I was so immerged with the war that I was constantly rushing. I skipped basic every optional side quest. The result is that the death number at the end remained around 1900, but I didn't save many of the specific NPC's.

I applaud you for doing all these different branches just to show us the different outcomes. That must've taken a while. In my own game I'm pretty satisfied with every choice I made EXCEPT Awhina which I unfortunately chose the option that made her die (there's no way of knowing without spoiling yourself, which sucks). I was able to save Mayahuel, the single young Saurian (you don't need to save Raman to save the single Yumkasaur; I know this because he is MIA in my game but the saurian still made into the Stadium), Iyoba and Osawe, I motivated Uturunku and I saved Achiyaku and his comrades. Pretty good for a blind run. The one I liked the most was Achiyaku. Saving him equals saving a very large group, but sadly the NPC in that group that I liked the most will always die. RIP Wayta. It would be even crazier if Hoyo made these NPCs stay in the world after the Archon Quest for an extra punch in the guts. Edit: So after digging a llittle I just found out that Toto, Kachina's big dinosaur friend, can actually die in the Archon quest if you take too long doing the quest. YIKES. I saw him and he did survive in my game, but I'm curious if Hoyo will still use Toto in future quests if he can die in this one.

I believe the baby saurian is from the location if we didn't save the 3 npc of people of the springs resulted the baby saurian was the sole survivor.

yo same bro my outcomes are exactly the same as yours (i still feel especially guilty about awhina 😭) and my heart almost stopped when i saw toto on the ground. i went to check thinking it was just a random dino, but realized that it WAS toto and i was so happy he turned out alive😭😭

When playing this part of the quest, I ended up making my choices at random, lol. So in the end I saved Mayahuel, Achiyaku (and his civilians), and the mother and child. If I could go back, I'd also try and save Awhina, since I pretty much sent her to her death. 😭

I also didn't spend too much time fussing over minor details, because I felt a lot of this was time sensitive. I also opted to consistently go to the seemingly more dangerous locations. I ended up missing a lot of NPC's and cutscenes, but ended up with a relatively low damage toll.

I felt happy I went on with the doctor route, kinda felt because that spot was closer (and tried to fight and choose at fast as possible, some reason felt speed was key). But I got all choked up when Paimon got sad later on in the quest. The VA did an amazing job for those lines.

I.... sat to think through on my decisions in that quest. And I accepted that I will not be able to save everyone. I did what I can, chose the options where I weighted if there is no Armed NPC or Friendly Saurian is there to fight/defend on the mission. It might be heartless but I chose the where I felt like I would save more civilians, and where some "strategic" points can be held. By the end, the casualties were at 1.2k rounded off. I dunno if I could've save more but I did what I can and can only pray to those I failed to help. This quest is a good reminder that just because they are NPCs, they can still affect you mentally.
