Hi Guys ! I was just going through the comments. And there are few questions that are common. So answering them here. 1) There is no language barrier, aap jis bhi language mein comfortable ho, aap usmein bolo, bilkul koi issue Nahi hai, that is not going to affect your interview. 2) My interview score was 12/15. 3) For the final selection, 60% weightage is given to GATE score, 25% to academics and the rest 15% to interview. Inh sabko milaake ek final cut off aati hai jisse selection hota hai And I missed the final cut off by 1.6 marks. Toh 2019 mein Mera selection nahi hua tha 4) Iss baari I've GATE rank, but main job ab Nahi Karna chahti, you already know why 😄. Main J Chemistry ke Saath hi Khush hun...and after all, it's all about self satisfaction. 5) GATE score and Interview performance, both matters. 6) I forgot to mention one thing, you must score minimum 9 marks in interview or you'll be disqualified no matter what your rank in GATE is. 7) If you don't have Physics/Maths in BSc that's not an issue, aap Chemist ki post ke liye eligible hain, aapko bas GATE qualify Karna hai with a very good rank. 8) Agar Aapne MSc mein koi project Nahi Kiya hai, so you can leave that column blank. Aap interview mein bta sakte Hain ki Aapki university mein project Nahi hota hai, and that's okay. Woh aapse koi aur ques Puch lenge Isse selection Nahi rukega, don't worry. Bas GATE rank Achi laao Interview ke liye ache se prepare Karo And you're there. Don't listen to people jo bewajah daraate hain ki selection ho hi nahi sakta hai, girls ko kam select karte hain, yeh sab mann ki bani banaayi baatein hain Girls top 50 mein Hoti bhi Kam Hain, toh selections Kam hi dikhenge Lekar aao rank, sab Hoga Don't give up on your dreams. Kisi exam ya interview ko difficult wahi bande bolte hain Jo khud qualify Nahi Kar paaye ,,, that's it. Agar aap chaho toh sab possible hai 😊

Mam, your explanation of alkaloids and heterocyclic compounds are 100% correct. I would just point out some significant differences. 1. All alkaloids are nitrogenous(heterocyclic) compounds but not all nitrogenous compounds are alkaloids. 2. True alkaloids originate from amino acids. 3. Some heterocyclic compounds are classified as alkaloids even if it does not contain nitrogen (e.g. Colchicine) 4. Alkaloids are present in plants in the form of salts of Acetic acid, Malic acid, Oxalic acid, Tartaric acid Succinic acid etc. 5. Alkaloids are crystallisable solids and are decomposed by heat. 6. Many alkaloids are optically active. After all, there is hardly any relation between ONGC and Alkaloids. They asked questions to test your knowledge.

Heterocyclic compounds are the organic compound containing hetero atoms like nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen. Alkaloid are the part of heterocyclic compund found in plants are base like substances Or basic nitrogenous compound if plants origin which have complex molecular structure and many pharmacological activities.

Alkaloids are the nitrogen containg organic compounds obtained from plants origin while heterocyclic compounds contain some hetero atom (may be O, N, S) in them. The difference between the two is that Alkaloids may have Nitrogen atom outside the ring. Examples to support are Colchicin, Ephedrine. While heterocyclic compounds have hetero-aatom incorporated in the ring. This is my interpretation. Hope so it'll go well. And Happy learning!!

He graduate from IIT-R and GATE AIR 8 (2018) GENERAL... Graduation ke bad 1 saal coaching liya fir rank 8 aa gai... But that way is too much harder for me... He told me that abhi se aacha IIT chale jao...Gate dena hi na pade... Mai abhi Dropper hu JEE ka... Aap bahot intelligent ho... Mam . In heterocyclic compound heteroatom containing ring call heretocmpound . In alkaloid main base unit ( N atom containing ) . alkaloid and heteroatom can differentiate on compare ring starin .. ring starin increase basic nature decrease ..so alkaloid is less basic compare to heterocyclic atom

So alkaloids are any group of complex heterocyclic nitrogen compounds, which have strong physiological activity, are often toxic, and retain their own basic chemical properties. but the heterocyclic compound can be anything which has more than one atom, I mean instead of carbon there should be other atom-like N , O , S, X etc.

Hetero cyclic compounds contains atleast one hetero atom like N,O,S. But alkaloids are the naturally occurs organic compound which contains atleast one N in there structure.

I think alkaloids are natural product but pyridine is not an alkaloid, it is heterocyclic compound. Alkaloids has besic unit of heterocycle.

Mam...what is the spectrochemical series and what basis the ligands are orderd..this is the question I face in interview at IIT Tirupati... I said based on the strength of the ligands which splits the d orbitals(t2g and eg) of metal when they are forming bond with metal.. ligands have different strengths...strong ligands splits two sets of orbitals wery strong and the e gap is more...this is I answered But prof said you can check once on this.... Mam can you explain please.
