"Onimusha 3:Demon Siege" was such a BIG improvement over it two predecesors.I mean,I'm mostly talking about the controls mechanic,graphics and the camera angles,cause when it comes to interesting storyline I always thought that "Samurai's Destiny" was the best one...Though I have never played "Dawn of Dreams",the fourth one.

wow i remember this game back then, onimusha is the originator of the orbs i swear after this game every single game started using the orb absorbing technique even my favorites devil may cry and god of war, all these new games gotta pay homage to onimusha for real what a great game i hope they make it for ps3

I like Gargant's sword. It has a hook like function at the tip of the blade. I also recall seeing a similar blade used by Tidus in FFX. I really wonder if there is such a weapon in real life, or it's a great work of fiction.

Samanosuke is not an actor, it's a character played by Takechi Kaneshiro. And for Samanosuke, his real name is Akechi Mitsushide, a real samurai who lived in the 16th century feudal japan under the command of the daimyo Oda Nobunaga.

I actually grew up with onimusha what i would give to be able to play the first and secound one man back then the games were so epic and fun now games are mindless seriously they should take a step back and take lesson on the onimusha franchise

@unrewritable It all depends on what character they use. For ps2 they made 4 onimusha games with 3 main characters in each one. But for onimusha 1 and 3 it was the same main character (samanosuke) and the same story line. # 2 branches off to a different story line with main character jubei and there are some references to samanosuke but he's not in it. #4 is the a completely different character, although samanosuke is in it but is not the main character. He just helps out here and there.

@PhilFilth Akechi Samanosuke isn't Akechi Mitsushide - Samanosuke is Mitsuhide's nephew. You acually meet Mitsuhide on the first level in Onimusha 3. Did you even play the games - they constantly say about the relation between the two of them. My advice - play them again - it's only for your good ;)

Is this game any good? I've never played any of the onimusha games before, but once I heard capcom was thinking of making another onimusha game for the ps3 I was intereted in the game. Do I need to get all the previous games in order to understand the story or can I just get number 3 and wait until onimusha for ps3 comes out?
