The show is barely understandable, it's a video game adaptation that never explains anything, which can be fine having some mystery and all. But there was legit a time where the vilain bragged about having an untakable fortress for 5min straight and apparently that was the exposition for his plan ? The show is just bad, with some interesting characters but 75% of the violence or death are just here for shock value. Hiding behind a "lack of woke" thingie is just absurd when the anime is barely able to tell a story or have logical dialog... I sincerly hope the show was just filled with mistranslation but even then it will stay bland and unoriginal

as a fan of the first game, i always wondered what happened in the final battle, only to find out years later they shoehorned some outcome into the narrative. so, as the final battle of the show comes closer, i start getting this creeping feeling.... *AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW* they give us the same BS so we can keep watching :(

Musashi's senses were highly acute, but not enough to sense the approach of the Yoshioka Trio. Seijuurou had an agreement. Denshichirou and Matashichirou would get the kill on this swordman, but Seijuurou could have his weak point as they also agreed to get finishes the battle before Musashi begins with his attack. The Yoshioka Trio raises their weapons and stepped hastily as Matashichirou urged with Denshichirou agreed which not before Seijuurou had say goodbye to them. Remained the fight, Musashi picked up his trademark two katanas by started walking silently and slowly toward the Yoshioka Trio who had rushes him. Matashichirou's footstep ran into Musashi before he leaps his foot around as began sneaking up behind the greatest swordman, but the latter swing his katana that breaks the first Yoshioka's sword and straight into his neck by beheads him. Seijuurou swivels his sword with his Genma bone arms that puts down one of Musashi's katana, but he swiftly catches his own sword and directly straight below the second Yoshioka's bone arms at 20km into his torso at in the solar plexus by brutalizes him horizontally, the greatest swordman's katana is still stand in a few blood. Jokingly realized, Seijuurou looks his bad manners for Musashi that would harder than he expected, but the Yoshioka thought themselves going to wins against the swordman. Denshichirou stepped back in mild surprise and did noticed Seijuurou coming back up from behind, who attacked Musashi in his back before he attempt to kills him with his naginata. An arrow from Sahei's bow who shoot at Denchichirou at middle speed as points into his eye at first, but Musashi ignored it by cut the arrow from his opponent and Seijuurou's outcome of the Yoshioka trio is surprising victoriously. Musashi began to making a bit quicker then his opponents as a hawk claws Denshichirou's face at this point for the first time in his life as a oni, engages him in his Oni Gauntlet by charged at his opponent with his raised katana, causes the final Yoshioka is bisected in half. Not only horizontally cleaves Musashi's katana at Denshichirou's torso, but he briskly set out his two katana at his opponent in the high speed during his Oni Gauntlet where the final Yoshioka is struggled by the swordman with his Oni Gauntlet's endurance as his opponent's head, body, eye and anything into a bloody chunk of his intestines. *_FATALITY_* Musashi Wins, *Flawless Victory!*

So, IIRC, the three dudes Musashi is fighting are ''demons''. Theyre the re-animated corpses of three brothers he Killed previously in some other conflict/war. I think he liquified him because that was the best way to ensure that he doesnt get up and keep fighting or get put back together.

Making 3d look 2d isnt easy, in both texture and animation. And they made a series with less than AAA Movie Blockbuster budgets. That means less resources per scene. Taking all of that into account i feel like it was done fairly well. Its come a long way since GITS 2045 and Berserk. It'll only get better.
