Ingredients:
1lb 80/20 ground beef portioned in 3 oz balls
1 large onion
Cheddar or American cheese
Salt
Instructions:
1- Slice the onion as thin as possible
2- Heat a large cast iron skillet or your grill griddle over medium-high heat and toast the burger buns. Remove them and add oil to the pan.
3- Place two of the balls of beef on the skillet, season with salt and smash it down with a spatula once or twice.
4- Working quickly, spread onions evenly over cooking burgers and cook them 2- 3 minutes or until edges get brown.
5- Carefully flip burgers with a stiff spatula and add cheese and top with top bun. Place bottom bun upside-down over top bun.
6- Stack two patties on each bun.
