Girl!! That talk on productivity literally felt like a slap in the face for me and was such a wake up call! I literally felt the exact same as you when we had to switch to online classes, everything felt so new and scary and overwhelming and I thought it was because of me and I was blaming myself for getting worked up over it and getting stressed out when I wasn't doing what I thought was enough. I'm so glad that I wasn't the only one feeling that and this video honestly helped so much!! I'm glad you (and I now lmao) realized that we need to stop comparing ourselves to others and being so hard on ourselves, especially when these times are so difficult. We just need to take care of ourselves. Thank you for this video Hannah and I hope you're not feeling too stressed or putting yourself under too much pressure, you've got this! xx

The best piece of advice I ever got on mental health and productivity is similar to what you're explaining at 4:40. It's this: Don't go into the day expecting 100% of yourself, instead review what you can offer on that particular day. Are you full of energy and you can accomplish everything on your to-do list? Then wonderful, set your sights on offering 70% of your energy to your day. On the flip side, can you only offer 20%? If so, then still reward yourself for the mundane tasks that you think don't matter, if you can only give your day 20% of your energy than yay for getting out of bed or taking a shower. Expectations matter, if you set them too high you will always be failing and you'll never truly feel accomplished.

What I’ve learned, as a perfectionist, is that if you subconsciously think that you won’t be able to meet a certain standard that you have set for yourself, you will procrastinate and not be motivated at all which only causes you to get mad at yourself because you didn’t achieve anything. So you just have to keep that in mind when you’re feeling unmotivated and like you haven’t done anything productive.
