Online Organ Concert with Gordon Cree

The Scottish Cinema Organ Trust are delighted to be presenting an online organ concert series in lieu of our in-person concert programme. Our first online concert will be performed by Scotland’s own Gordon Cree who has been a good friend of SCOT for many years. Enjoy an hour of light, entertaining music spanning various eras and genres.
Gordon Cree is a singer, actor, entertainer, compere and musician. Born in Ayrshire, Scotland, he originally trained and graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now known as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), before embarking on the career as a professional performer that has taken him around the globe.

I had the privilege of having Bryan "on board" many miles and times (in Holland and Germany), a great and friendly man, full of jokes!. Still have some of the recordings (privately )...

Bryan Rodwell plays his unique arrangement of Tea for Two at Blackpool Tower on the Mighty Wurlitzer ... followed by his theme tune "You Made Me Love You". This was his last ever performance on this organ before he passed away in 1995.

Superb Concert - having been involved in tuning at Pollokshaws since it was installed, and in Clydebank before that, my successors have done a good job. Great playing by Gordon! Excellent sound quality too - well done!!!

Me and my Girl did NOT start out as a film. It was originally a stage production with music written by Noel Gay. It opened on the West End in 1937 and ran through 1940. The film was made in 1939. The music that you are playing is from the original production. The musical was revived several time, the most recent in 2010.
