The ring is so unusual. I love it. I collect antique dinner menus and do not find them that often. My favorites are banquet style celebrations that come in a little booklet style with the menus inside. You are so sweet & generous to purchase from Gabby & me and then to share them here on your channel. Thank you so much C. Say Hi to my little buddies for me. 🥰🥰

As I watch your videos that showcase items from Gabby, I think “I need to take a look at Gabby’s sales!” The ribbons are so beautiful and the jewelry, etc that she sells are in such great condition! Right now I am in a bead “frenzy” re-doing necklaces I buy and creating new ones. I used to collect buttons, trim and textiles. Maybe it’s time to do that again! Your Boucherer watch ring is worth quite a bit of money. Perhaps you might want to get it in working order. Always love your treasures!

When I taught, I volunteered to take a full freshman load one year. It was a failed attempt at trying to get the number of failures down. I was never crazy enough to teach summer school. I hated having Juniors and Seniors repeating classes with Freshmen. I never had enough seniority to get all advanced classes and just Juniors and Seniors. I really felt cheated. My degree was in Biology/Chemistry with a life of Medical experience. The staff recognized my frustration and encouraged me to seek higher ground. The best advice I ever took. I spent 20 years selling advanced and specialized pharmaceuticals in some of the most fascinating areas. Anesthesia, cancer treatments, contraception/fertility, anticoagulants, antidepressants and vaccines were just a few specialties. I was the hospital rep and finally got my deserved audience of residents. Enjoy your summer break.

My freshman were like wild animals today. Thank goodness only 8 days left. Next year I have mainly upperclassmen.

@@TarnishedTreasures1 The public school system that I had taught in is 300 teachers short to start the next school year. They can’t keep enough bus drivers to even carry out a transportation plan to get all students to school. I taught the Sciences. Of course, that meant I had to contend with objections to evolutionary Biology. I can’t even imagine that there are Science textbooks that can even keep up with all the technology and discoveries. With vaccines and gene editing showing the most promising advancements in medicine and treatment, I can’t even imagine dealing with the ignorant anti-Science conspiracy theories. They couldn’t pay me $250,000 a year to go back into that classroom again! I had such great hopes for humanity rising above ignorance. One day, there will be great leaders that inspire the youth, not drag them down to their level of dysfunction. Peace and hope!

The red ribbons with picot edging look like taffeta to me, possibly silk taffeta. Taffeta is a very stiff fabric and it creases easily. The ribbon tied around your the packet of rhinestones also looks like taffeta judging by how it moved when you untied it. absolutely spectacular haul!!!

Wow, I love the menus! They remind me of the vintage cookbook I believe you had in one of your videos- 52 Sunday Dinners by Elizabeth O. Hillier. The fonts look the same and so does the artwork. Book was from 1913, so I guess illustration was going from Art Nouveau to Art Deco at that point?

Art Neouveau is the style has curved lines Art Deco has sraight ,sharp lines.Both my favorites

I read a hint years ago about wrapping gifts. It was to just have one plain paper (even brown paper) and then choose a lovely ribbon to match the person or occasion. Saves you from buying and storing those large rolls. You can certainly make some stunning packages.

Those menus are amazing, never seen anything like them. I’m from Alabama and have no idea what AL style sweet potatoes are, lol. The ring is so pretty and bonus that was a watch too. The award ribbons that you made are so pretty. Do you ever do tutorials?

Nothing I make is ever complicated. Everything is found and I just stacked and glued them all together. That’s it. I like it easy.

8:27 Yeah prob green because of the color wheel. Like you know how they’re opposite of each other? So not only are red & green complementary, but together makes it brown. That’s why when I bleach my hair and it becomes that brassy yellow orangey color, I have to use a purple/blue toner to neutralize the brassy color out.

I just feel like those girls would have some specific name like the Gibson girls that Gibson sketched. I guess it’s like a Gatsby look but they usually have butterfly wings or insect details. Maybe it’s just flappers?

❤❤. Yes! Gabbyitis! I hope there is no cure. I know she has some more of those rosettes. Get them! I literally made a sandwich with them. Just glued it all. Soooo easy. I’ll look for the video I saw years ago that inspired me.
