I recently did some alterations on a JJ's House bridesmaid dress. As a seamstress I can say that the dress was really well made. Yes there were some shortcuts but none that anyone would notice unless they were taking the dress apart like I did. I was altering the dress because the gal ordered the dress too small in hopes of losing weight and she didn't. The dress was also too tall for her, which worked out great for us as I used that length to make the bodice fit her. I would totally recommend JJ's House and I don't think that there is anything wrong with getting a inexpensive dress for your wedding.

I agree. I have never seen a jjshouse dress in person but have made wedding dresses in the past and this is what I've observed from photos. Also Ladies, it matters what you put under a dress. For example the bra that you wear and the appropriate petticoat. Different shaped petticoats can change the shape of the same gown. If you are having a dress made to order, I recommend getting the kind of undergarments that you will wear and then measuring with them on. ( after wearing the undergarments for at least 8 hours or more to know if they are comfortable and stay in place. After all, you wan to be comfortable on your big day.) For the same reason, measure height with the shoes that you will wear to dance in . Thanks for this review.

I bought a custom-sized blue cocktail dress from JJ’s, and it fit me properly and was well-made. I am a skilled amateur seamstress, and I tend to judge off-the-rack clothes somewhat harshly. The dress had no pockets and was polyester, but that wasn’t a surprise. (My desires for pockets, a perfect fit, and natural fibers are the reasons I sew my own dresses.)

@@1ARGS2020 it was so beautiful! I had so many compliments on it. I used the custom measurements and it came and fit me perfectly. None of my family could believe the price of it. I also bought my bridesmaids dresses from there. There were 6 of them. I didn’t get these one custom sized and a couple were completely wrong size wise but the returns process was pretty simple and we got everything we needed second time around. I will say it’s a good idea to leave enough time for this.

I actually bought a cathedral veil from JJshouse and it's really great. You just gotta dig into the site and add some more detail by hand. I added a different comb to mine and it looks just like the one David's bridal was trying to sell me for 700.00 and instead I paid 45.00

Definitely the 2nd to last dress was the most flattering but just a couple thoughts... the crinoline is usually sold separately from other dresses so it's not really fair to judge a dress for not being fully pouffed(??) out on its own, and definitely agree the illusion netting/mesh is not the right color. I wish you could choose what the shade mesh is if it's supposed to be an illusion.

I wanted to show my husband the mermaid dress for our vow renewal as it was the one he liked most on JJsHouse but I actually really fell in love with the fourth one-which I hadn't even looked at before. My husband liked it a lot too and it's the one we decided over the mermaid one. Reviews with photos help a lot with actual looks on people and even the color-we especially wanted some color but it's hard to see on the site without reviews. This helps really tons. Thanks for the reviews. You did a great job. Good to know you were pleased with the quality as I have been thinking of ordering some other clothing from JJs. I havent seen your other videos yet (will so do soon) but if I could make one suggestion - you could wear some high heels with these dresses (or whatever footwear a bride may wear) and then they wouldnt have been so long, so the details at the bottom wouldnt have been on the floor. High heels also would have altered the way you hold your body, and show off the dress better. I was a bit surprised you were barefoot. Anyway, just my two cents worth. Keep up the good work.

I like #3 the off the shoulder A Line dress the best. Regarding JJ's House though, I ordered home try on dresses for Mother of the bride and I was not impressed with the quality of the material. It was ok but not as good as Kennedy Blue which I also ordered. All dresses were of chiffon but the Kennedy Blue dresses just felt softer and did not wrinkle easily while the JJ's House dresses arrived very wrinkled and even more wrinkled after tying on and felt a little scratchy which is a sure sign of less quality in the fabric. So strange for chiffon from two different retailers being so different in quality. I'm not saying JJ's is a bad company, I'm just saying KB is better in my experience. At the end of the day it is all about how much money you safe.

Dress 4 looks beautiful on you! When you did custom sizing for that dress, did you give them your exact waist measurement, or did you round up a little bit? I am curious because you mentioned that it could have been more fitted at the waist. Thank you!

Thanks Joy! I gave them my exact measurements all around. I think it can just be a bit variable with the custom dress option (i.e. maybe if I ordered the same dress twice they would be made slightly differently) but I also think they take great care in making sure that the dress is not too small because that can't be fixed. I definitely like dresses to fit super snug so I think I'm more picky than most normal people but maybe that's a good thing for a review 😬

I actually got a custom size for all of these dresses because I was in between their standard sizes. Usually with these sites if you look at the size chart it will be pretty accurate based on your measurements!
