That intro was very reminiscent of something that Trevor Boulder might’ve contributed on a Uriah Heep song. He is one of my heroes, and could get tasty really quick

The current fad for flashy KZbin playing goes against everything I love about bass - supporting the song and letting the music shine as a whole is the real art of bass playing. Dan, your playing warms my heart and brings a tear to my eye. Congratulations on the subs and keep up the wonderful work you do.

I would love in general a video from you about health an bass playing. Meaning what do you do for preperation playing a lot especially standing without blowing a spinal disc...I mean already managed it this this year with a 6 string. Right now I am reading Randall Kertz. Maybe there are some pro tipss you can give from experience and when to take break. Other than that I must say I enjoy your lessons far more than the SBL content, since you are able in my case to connect the dots, or point out what I was doing intuitive like. Without gym and blackrolling as well as manual therapy I would still rely heavily on to pain killers. Thank you for this channel and hopefully this year you find more time to play. Your playing is till very tasteful and the ray sound s superb

Thanks very much for the kind words. Other than using light amps/cabs (MarkBass), and having a wide strap (I like the Comfort strap), and doing some weight training to keep muscle tone, plus working on posture (not nearly as much as I should!!), I probably don’t have more to say than Randall Kertz - his book looks really good.

how did you know that in the Cm/Gm/Bb/F progression Bb is the key? I thought it's the last chord (a note, tb fair) that suggests the key. In other words, how would I find where the I-chord is? Thank you.
@OnlineBassCourses5 ай бұрын
I would recommend learning how a major scale is harmonised. Bb Major: Bb Cm Dm Eb F Gm Adim. Then you can see how the chords relate to the overall key. It’s usually the first chord that tells you the key but not always!
