What's funny is that prior to hiring reese, john and his mother were going to have tim mara be the GM but tisch stepped in and said no because you're apart of ownership making it not possible to fire him. That allegedly made john and the rest of the mara family angry and tim had to settle for his vp gm role. There's a lack of accountability and awareness with this team and fanbase. I could be wrong but I’m of the mindset that Mara forced that signing. I don’t really believe Daboll nor Scheon had any confidence in DJ otherwise they wouldn’t have attempted to trade up to get Daniels or Maye in last year’s draft. Rumor is that the re-signing of Jones was driven by Mara. Schoen did set the contract up, so there was an out after two seasons. Either way, terrible contract and even though Jones was good in 2022, that contract worried me.

James Dolan's best move was hiring Steve Stoute after the Phil Jackson/Steve Mills Fiasco was hiring Stev Stoute. He help rebrand the Knicks, publictly provided support of the teams image in the media and help hire bright inside basketball people. Mara needs to take a step back but i highly doubt a stubborn old man will do that. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. I'm just saying.

Tim: If there is hope after a garbage win; it is falso hope. In the era of participation trophies; it is ot inconceivable (thanky you Princess Bride) that both could come back. You figure all the evidence necessary for firing both are Hard Knocks and the record after the 7 - 2 start. As I have said before as long as the money keeps coming in Mara has no reason to make a change. Mara has no love for the Giants as his father and grandfather had. Phhillips love is the same as DJ. tim, i'm right there, with you. i stopped buying giants gear, about a 8 years ago. i've been following OBB for a few years now, and i always say the same thing, "i'm done with this team" and i always come back... tbh i've been watching eagles games 'cause of saquon, and i find myself kinda rooting for them. depending on this off-season, i may just pull a 'saquon' anad go over to the 'birds'... seriously... p.s. for all those super-fans, that are going to say i'm not a 'real' giants fan; 1. fuck you 2. i've been following the giants since the mid '70s (since i was 5 / 6 years old) 3. i'm tired of following a losing/ crappy/ team

Tim, I hear your frustration. The 2023 and 2024 draft picks were drafted into a crappy situation. I'm not going to make negative judgements on these guys when the team they were brought to was garbage. I'm giving Schoen and Daboll the 4th year to add more players from the draft and the offseason. We can't keep flipping head coaches and GMs every 2 years.

Tho Johnson is Evan Engram 2.0. Dru Phillips barely makes any impact plays. Nubin isn’t good. Nabers is the only good impact player from the draft class. I think anyone could have made that pick.

If we can still get ward or Sanders at 4 great, If not, they could trade for someone like JJ, and develop him. I’d rather have Ward, but that’s not a terrible alternative. As long as Mara is in office, we will never go through a true rebuild. If Schoen and/or Daboll stays, it could end up being the same or worst next season, then what? We wasted a year where we could have made serious change. I just dont get how Mara doesnt see the big picture....who wants to come here with these guys?.... players and coaches.
