A buddy of mine calls that rig the double slab stacker. I haven't used it much, but it seems very effective. And you're right, when you become a parent you are constantly tired but eventually you get used to being tired.

Ethan, Just received some Donkey Tail Jr's from you in the mail this week. Took my son in law out and we had an amazing multi-species day! Both of us never had to rebait either. Thanks for being apart of the first father son in law fishing trip!

I bought my first ultralight after watching lots of your ultralight videos and the next day I slayed 19 bluegills! the amount of fun fishing with the UL is indescribable! This double jig rig will be used next time I’m out fishing, thanks a lot man keep up the great content!

Thanks for the inspiration! Because of your videos, I purchased an ultralight president/basspro combo. It’s been amazing capturing such a huge variety of species on a tiny jig. My ultralight has brought new life to my fishing experience for sure! Thanks again…also, my wife tried my new ultralight and it’s hard to get it back haha so she is into the ultralight game too.

Dude, Ethan, thanks for the how to at the end of the video. I was having the hardest time following the on the water version but then again, I have ADD when it comes to knot tying. Im interested to try this on heavier line with the Spark Shad for Smallies. Gonna try to give it a go. Also, you aint kiddin about no time and always tired haha. These little months old nuggets are a handful!

Great rig. I've used similar with live bait (leeches and minnows) when fishing for bullhead and perch. Used to get doubles all the time when the fishing was prime (March for bullhead and April on the St. Lawrence for perch). Definitely a cool setup with jigs and soft baits. Especially in testing out the effectiveness of colors for a given situation. Great day of catching Ethan and glad the family is doing well. Parent life can be exhausting and time consuming for sure but all worth it.

@@FishAnything can't wait to try them out. I haven't been out fishing much lately (been doing lots of family stuff) but going to try and get my youngest out one more time for panfish and I want to try the Horse Flies.

It is a very effective rig, for sure! I also always do the surgeon's loop for my top jig, but I also do the same knot for the bottom jig. I believe that loop gives the jig a lot more action and darting if it's not rigidly tied.
@FishAnything3 жыл бұрын
Heck yeah Evan! I will have to check out that surgeon's loop knot! Thanks for sharing :)

How important do think it is to somewhat match the jig color with the soft plastic color?
@FishAnything3 жыл бұрын
Color definitely makes a difference but I think pairing specific colors together isn't that big of a deal. I like to match them up if I want to be natural but if the water is cloudy, I like to add some "pop" with a brighter head.
