It’s in the perfect spot to where you won’t notice it and it’ll still be a strong support for the canopy. Don’t believe me? On camera it looks bad, but in real life you’ll be able to see around it. Your brain can probably block most of it out as well. F1 drivers still race fine and they also have a pillar like that, it’s placed in the perfect spot for it to not be a hassle and also be a good support for the canopy.
