The pros are, you can put bricks or anything you want almost on the exterior. My Uncle builds these. They have always been affordable. What do you think home Depot and Walmart are built of???

It is $15-$20/sqft to install the slab, and the building. So, the shell is $59k, and 2500sqft x $17.50 = $43,750 to install everything in this video. Total, in what they have in this video, it is $103k +/- $5k. Then to build all the walls, install a septic system, water, electric, everything, including all finished materials, when you are done you will be sitting at about $100/sqft finished, so overall costs, once everything is completed, depending on how big of a garage they are going to have, let's say 1250sqft on bottom level, and 2500sqft above, they are looking at about $350-$375k for the total build. So, don't let all of this fool you. It costs the same as a stick built home...

I work for myself now. If you know anything framing takes no time. I’ve ran so much new construction. It’s not rocket science. I don’t go to bars. Or be around drunk people. Better option is to have a 22 foot eaves with 13-14 foot bottom section to fit car lifts in it, alongside an 6-8 foot top floor with open ceiling... And with the peak your looking at 10-13 foot ceilings in it anyways (27-28 foot peak depending on roof pitch) Love the color and this is EXACTLY what I'm looking to do

Love the size and it looks well built but can it work in the desert. Would need an industrial style ac unit to cool something down this big and therefore the monthly bill itself would not be worth it if it’s just going to be a home.

In the dessert, go with the color white to reflect the most heat and build a roof over top of the real roof so that the first roof takes the full of the heat and the air gap between roofs facilitates the coolness to the home.

I live in hurricane country, don’t know if this would be good in my region. Meanwhile the 8 foot second story is claustrophobic to me. I’d probably go 9 feet on each floor giving up a foot on the first floor.

Those things are going to vary on where you're setting up at. Land costs are all over the map and (of course) depends on where it's located and how much acreage you're purchasing.

This does not include electric and plumbing. And the remainder of the interior of the building. Something to think about people.

Well. . . not to be a naysayer, but they are a long way from finished and he left out costs that would have already taken place at this point in the build, like electrical, AC, plumbing, permitting, inspections and in some cases things like impact fees. So where I live the way it sits now is probably closer to $160k. And of course, they will need to finish out the entire interior. And, the garage is not usually included in the square footage of the home or at least not the "under air" area. I don't know enough about it to say if it is going to be cheaper in the end than regular construction, but for a home you live in, it sure is uglier.
