​This Classic Teaching was recorded on April 29, 2012. The solution to the riddle of impossible humility is offered with humor and compassion for the human condition. The same riddle is posed in a slightly different way by every wisdom tradition, yet always pointing to the same paradox. You can't make effort to be effortless. One can never attain humility, since claiming it refutes the claim. There must be some way out of this, but it requires abandoning all hope.

Egg Farmer here, generally there are egg laying chickens and meat birds raised for such. Generally, you wouldn't cook an egg layer, not enough meat. So, you'd just be sacrificing a potential egg laying chicken.

Don Juan offers that the ego concedes control when it recognizes the trustworthiness of the power which informs it, the Nagual. Ra - The Law of One - contributes that the resolution of all paradoxes occurs when we understand all is One; that God created both and blinks at neither darkness nor light, equally informing with love all offers from Service-to-Self and Service-to-Others. Do we want to accept or refuse the love offered as a lesson through pain, or wellbeing?

What you said about christian monks teaching keys to service through humility but unfortunetaly not being able to, because it turns out they were not doing good things. I have applied to this to most groups, atleast at the outer layer, and its not by default or specifically, I just look within groups to see who is teaching something but not living that value. Most people in power or at the forefront of things because theyre so involved, predominately seemed compromised by some sort of mortal chain to something that isnt morally worth it.

Your man started off with a fundamental failure to understand Christianity. Granted a lot of people who regard themselves as Christians also fail to understand it, but pure Christianity is one of the best exemplars of egolessness in action to be found. Paul, not in my opinion the best of the Christians, nevertheless as one of the earliest, provided a template for teaching about ego. He said several times, "all I know is what I have been taught, but this is how I understand it; maybe it will be helpful to you." Christian mysticism is a rich field of study.
