I’m new to mountain biking what is dabbing?
@SkillsWithPhilАй бұрын
Dabbing is when you lose balance and put a foot down, or a hand against a tree to regain balance. There's a discipline of riding called Trials (not trails) in which there's rules that even touching a pedal or resting your handlebar is considered a half dab.

@SkillsWithPhil28 күн бұрын
It's not uncommon to get tripped up by a technical feature or caught off guard by a slippery turn and lose balance. To regain balance you might quickly place your foot on the ground or hand on a tree. This would be referred to as a dab. The term comes from the Bike Trials (not trails) which is a competitive form of rider where riders slowly navigate really technical terrain with the goal of keep their feet on the pedals the whole time.
